IRS phone scammer.  Recorded message treating lawsuit by the IRS.

I'm pretty sure this is a scam.  First of all they didn't ask for any person in particular.  Just threatened IRS lawsuit.

IRS scam. Didn't call back. There is no reason to sue me first of all and I would think they'd Audit someone first.

Received call saying final notuce. IRS filing lawsuit against us.

They called and said they were going to sue me and that I owed 7000. Said they were the IRS. Think accented woman. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me to "Go To Hell" and then hung up. I reported this to the US Department Of Treasury Inspector General (800-366-4484)  (tigta.gov), here's the number or website  if you would also like to report this, I highly recommend you do.

Had a message on our machine from this number.  Said it was a final notice from the IRS and they were suing us.  Left same number to call back.  I wish someone would catch these people and stop them.

Received a call saying they were from the IRS.  Knew it was a scam..she could barely speak English and when I challenged her concerning the call she hung up on me.  I have tried several times to call still a busy signal.  Her last name was Jackson gave me  a code number.  There were a lot of people talking on phones on the background.  IRS sends out letters not callers.

Recording from someone indicating they are with IRS and there is a lawsuit against me.  Definitely an unprofessional call and a scam.

Positive it is a scammer :(

These fakers are NOT the IRS.  I have been audited and the IRS does not call threatening lawsuits.  They know your address and they will send you a letter.

And wouldn't it be nice if the Do Not Call List meant a damned thing?

Contact the Federal Trade commission.  There are several complaints against these scammers who are not from the IRS, but suggest they might be.  They can be brutal.  They sometimes leave a message for a garbled name that could sound like yours.  If you call them back to say they have the wrong number, they tell you to send a check anyway.  I got a call from them and filed a complaint with the FTC.

Definite scam. Don't call back.

Thanks for your postings. We received thiis v-mail at 5:10pm tonight and were quite sure it must be a scam. Hope everyone is reporting it!

Received a call from 509-392-6377, recorded message they have attempted to contact me repeatly, and they threatened to file lawsuit against me for IRS bill and demand I call 509-392-6377. When I called them back, it just rang repeatedly without no answer on their end, repeated attempt, I just got busy signal.

Had a message left on machine saying this was final notice IS is suing .

Called threatening lawsuit.  Stated they were from Internal Revenue Services.  The real IRS is Internal Revenue Service, not plural.  Scam, scam, scam
