Message on my answering machine from this number. Beginning was cut-off.  First lines were impending lawsuit against you, and then gave the number to find out more about the case. No specifics, and it was surely a scam.

The caller ID said Ritzville, WA, and a computerized voice actually left a message telling me the IRS is filing suites (plural) against me and that I must call 509-428-2507, repeating it as if this is really important business.

I will not be calling as this is a SCAM of some sort.

Definitely a scam call, probably rerouted from a boiler room in India.  Claim to be the IRS and you owe money.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

My mother-in-law just called to say that she received a call from the IRS (left message on the answering machine) threatening a lawsuit and that she needed to call them back ASAP at the 509-428-2507 Ritzville, WA number. She was pretty sure that it was a scam but was hoping for some reassurance.  These people make me SO angry.  800notes should have a "Call Type" selection for 'Scam Threat' or 'ID Theft Threat' because these sorts of dangerous scams qualify as more than a "Prank Call"

I too just received this call but my elderly mother received it a couple of months ago and panicked. States it is your final chance to contact the IRS before they file a lawsuit against you.

Yep, I just got one of these calls and it sounded like Haji did not know the script very well. I let him go through the spew of my badge number is this and the IRS IS RECORDING THAT. Right after he started down the path of I c an help you, I lit his ASS UP. I MFed him up one side and down the other. Then I MFed the IRS and said I hope they were recording this and told them all to go [***] Themeselves.

Got a message from this number stating there is a pending lawsuit against me.  Scam.
