This guy claims to want to buy stuff from me off of craigslist.org and gives me this phone number and says he will go through alertpay but I am finding out that these alertpay things are a scam.  he says his name is Roy David or David Roy not sure but what I do know is that this is a scam

I got the same thing from this guy.  His name was David Smith this time though.  Definitely a scammer.

First I got a blank message with the subject line of a craigslist ad I posted.  I replied with my contact info and David Dosou sent this reply:

Thanking you for your maximum cooperaton. Revert to me via email so as to set the ballrolling. Would await your urgent correspondence.

We got the very same message from this guy.  What a weirdo.  We answered back with "cash only" and didn't hear from him again.  Gives Craigslist a bad name.

He did the same thing to me! I was upset cause I thought it was someone that actually wanted my Rolex! I need a down payment for my house! Anyone interested, haha?!?!

This person is definately a scammer, he sent a check to a friend and said that she should put it in her account. He thinks people are stupid.

This guy called himself Freddy Gry and acted like he was interested in chatting and dating from a yahoo personal ad.  Then he starts telling me he's in love and we havent even met.  It wasn't long before he was on his way to meet me that he 'got attacked by robbers and left stranded' and he needed to 'borrow' $1250 from me.  He would, he swore to God, pay me back.

I told him to act like a man and stand on his own two feet.  And I never loan men money.  I dont think much of crybabies.  lol

He gave me this number(509 443 9213) to call his son to tell him bye because he was going to kill himself.  I thought... dont do us any favors.

He must think everyone is stupid.  I'm sure he catches some in his net.

I hope someone does to him what he is doing to others.

Well I know this man as Peter Romano!  Fortunately I followed my instincts and avoided disaster!...  He also found me through Yahoo personals.  Talked to him on the phone 1 time and a couple of emails.  He was in love.  Sent many emails calling me wifey.  Then said he got a contract in Africa as an architect.  Then sent an email saying that his ATM card wouldn't work internationally and he was out of money and stranded.  After I tried giving him many suggestions to help himself he asked me to send him $500 so that he could get home and said he would pay me back.  Ya right!  He said this number belonged to his daughter and could I please call her and tell her he needed her help.  Supposedly her name was Mariana and she was attending school in Washington.  Fortunately I didn't fall for it and I blocked all contact from him immediately!

This guy wanted to buy my ring. Tried the same scam. I reported him!

I haven't been asked for any money yet, but a Peter Wather in Palm Bay FL is in love with me after a few days so I got suspicious after he said he found me on Yahoo Personals by searching.  He makes up a good love story.  Has daughter Mariana going to school in Washington.  He hasn't asked for money yet, but is laying it on thick in the love category.  I searched by his yahoo name and luckily found this posting before I got suckered.

This Peter Wather also was in love with me after seaching Yahoo personals Claiming he is in love with me and he hasn't even met me yet. I Played along for a while. He called on a Private Number and only talked for 1 min then told me to go on the internet so we can talk there...1st thought how can you love someone if you can't even have a conversation with the guy....Never has asked for money yet but yes his daughter live in Washington going to school to be a Lawyer.  When I told him that my son in law works for the Goverment he has not ever e-mailed me again but I am now getting all these scam letters in my inbox....I reported him to the International Fraud Association..Hoping they catch this guy......Great story teller!  BEWARE!

Now his name is Peter DeLuca, and he allegedly lives in Brooklyn, where he's a self-employed architect. Story is his wife died, daughter Mariana (or Marian) is in law school in Washington. Wanted me to call the daughter's number, because he can't get in touch with her, and he's "stuck in Africa <where he went on business> and his ATM doesn't work." Being curious, I called the #, where there was no answer, which is when I googled the number and found this site. In the mean time, yup, you guessed it, he asked me for $$ so he could "get home to me" as now we're "best friends" and he LOVES ME. Pulllllllll-lease!!! I told him we're NOT friends, and I don't lend money to ANYONE. After that, he immediately signed off (we were yahoo im'ing). Scumbag. Oh yeah, and he says he's ITALIAN but his accent is pure Russian/Slavic...DUH!!

this guy is trying to buy a table saw from me said he would send a check and would have shipping company come get it.   then he said the check would have more than 1000 so i copuld ship it to him.......i talked to a friend around the corner and he said there is a group of scammers from washibgton state.they did this to a friend of his. the deal is they give you a check it clears the shipping company picks up the stuff and then they cancel it..or its a stolen check . either way your out the money and what you shipped......the name he used was peter de luca....nice name for a nigerian scam artist.....i might let him have a relative pick it up so i can punch them in the mouth.

This fellow, who goes by Freddy Gry or Gray, (and other names as well) tries to extort money from women. He got in touch with me now and also 4 years ago, plus other times by other names, since I have been on yahoo personals for a few years now, also meeting other men like him.  He thought I was an investor, since it was the closest to what my career was.  I am 62, he said he is 47 and that I was everything in a woman he could want and then some, after the first e-mail he always said he missed me. I told him that he could not miss someone he's never met and knows nothing about.  PLEASE be ware of this Scam Artist, he is also psychotic.  He uses different pictures, but always attractive ones. He was nothing but wonderfully sweet, until I said I was going to report him, he became foul mouthed with me. He will tell you that his parents are dead and he has a son. 4 yrs ago his son was 15 and in finishing school in London, now he says he's 19 and becoming a pilot. He'll always be leaving for another country the day he speaks with you or the day after, he will always tell you that he will come straight to you when he returns to the states. Then he will ask for money and help.  THis time he told me that he is a civil attorney on business in England, to b e home in 11 days.  I told him that he had been in touch before, but he said that it wasn't him.  His words were exactly the same.... One time...shame on him....more than once...shame on the rest of us....he always wants you to correspond thru yahoo messenger...  he'll also speak of the Lord God often....BEWARE..................you may call me at 802-683-6923.

This guy emails me from a craigslist ad and asks if it's still available. I reply it is, but available for local pick-up only, no shipping (99% of all scams involve shipping on Craigslist) so then he says:

Figuring he'd be a scammer from somewhere in Africa and that would be the end of what I'd hear from him. To my surprise, he replied,

Now, curious, I call his number, and there's no reply -- no answering machine, just ringing. And I google the number, and here comes this website with everyone's experience of this scammer...
