This is bogus IRS scam.

person claims to be part of IRS and said I committed fraud and that if I don't act now my bank account will be frozen and that a sheriff supposed to pick me up in 15mins. It's a IRS SCAM!!

Dumb guy called my mother with same story today, we quickly realize something was wrong and not only did it not make sense, but if you pay attention he has no self confidence in what he is saying. What a joke lol

Got a call said to call back with my attorney, indicated he was high level law inforcement, sounds like a Chinese accent. It was a recording with instructions for me to call back

These are criminal extortionists operating in overseas boiler rooms using VOIP to alter their identities and locations and out of the reach of US law enforcement.

If someone calls saying he's an IRS agent and demands that you send money immediately, hang up.
It's a phone scam.In fact, it tops the IRS "Dirty Dozen" list of tax scams this year, and it's been surging in recent months, the agency said Thursday.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), which oversees the IRS, has received reports of 290,000 scam calls since October 2013 and said nearly 3,000 victims have been swindled out of $14 million so far.

By altering their caller ID number to make it look like they're calling from an IRS office, these scammers often threaten vulnerable people like the elderly and new immigrants with things like arrest, deportation or the loss of their driver's license if they don't pay immediately for money purportedly owed.

Often leaving messages that say it's "urgent" you call them back, the scammers use common names and sometimes say they are from the IRS Criminal Division. They may even claim to know the last four digits of your Social Security number and send follow-up emails that appear to be from the IRS, TIGTA said.

They often demand that payments be made by prepaid debit card.

Once they make their threats, the scammers have been known to call back and again disguise their caller ID so it appears they are calling from the police department or the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Or sometimes when they call, they may say you have a refund due and ask you to provide personal information so you can claim it.

The real IRS will usually contact you by regular mail first, if it needs to contact you at all. And the agency never demands immediate payment by phone or asks for credit card or debit numbers if they do call. It also never asks for personal or financial information by email, text or social media.

If you get what you suspect is a scam call, report it to TIGTA through its Web site or call 800-366-4484.

Just an FYI!

This guy with an Indian  accent called and left a voice mail demanding that I call him back immediately  with or without my lawyer  and said his name was officer Sean white and if I don't then legal action against me will unfold. And thus is coming from the state of Washington.  I'm just ignoring the call cuz  I'm sure it's a scam haha

I just got a call from these people, they did threaten me, and told me a warrant for my arrest was being issued. I gave them no information whatsoever, they had my address although I didn't confirm it for them. After I told them I had my own accountant and attorney and that they could not threaten me they hung up on me. I am now on the line with the real IRS to report them. The call I received was coming from 509-492-3428  from Pasco WA, and told me he was Agent Ray Morgan with the Tax Crimes and Investigation Department of the IRS.

This fake IRS guy called and wanted to speak to my 13 year old child about an IRS matter. Really.

Same message from "Sean" with dire threats of "the legal situation unfolding" on me if I, or my attorney, do not call him back.   Bitterly disappointed, I thought it was a call from my Nigerian prince.

They'll take what they can get bottom line, don't rule out the unthinkable.

The same thing happen to me today

did the sherrif come?  my sherrif is supposed to come in 30 minutes.  this is very very scary

i called back and talked to him, and he got pissed because i told him i had no idea what the hell he was talking about

just got a call from this number, officer sean white, telling me the sherrif is coming to arrest me in 30 minutes as I have issues with the IRS.

Did not answer it.But they left a threatening voice mail

Just rec'd it, and yea, it was Sean/Shawn... and he's gonna have 'the sheriff' sent to my house if I don't call him back immediately... i'm so skeerd...

You need to contact the local police yourself about that because they are outlaws.
