I asked for company name (Cancun Vacations) then asked how they came to have my number, they hung up.

Same thing happened to me, I asked the company name the last four times they called and they hung up. Just a minute ago I got called from this number and it sounded like a woman and then sounded like a broken cyborg??? Weird noises kept happening, I said are you in the US? Where is your company based out of ? She" hung uo

I got a call from them saying oii wi n a free trip. Then she started talking about 50 dollars each for fam of four for tickets. I just hung up cuz I knew it was just another scam

Received a call from them talking about wining a free trip to either Cancun or Costa Rica because I had been to a promotional event where I was entered to win (actually plausible since I am getting married soon and have been attending such events).  Raved about the promotional cost at $50 per person, then transferred me to someone who said I had to go to Cancun, then could go to Costa Rica all for the discounted cost of $999.  When I said I wasnt interested in Cancun, a supervisor got on and said I had agreed to go to Cancun, so why now did I not want to go and maybe he could give me a discount on air and hotel, but nothing else would be included...  Way to take no for an answer...

I just got a call from this # 509 497 3148 I did not give them any chance to talk to me because I knew what it was about so, I just hanged off on them. Teller marketer .....

I have received a few phone calls from this number. Can some please do something about this.  Thanx

This call identified themselves as the IRS saying there is a lawsuit against us. When I called back they hung up on me five times.

Wanted to charge me $999 for 2 vacations and if we hang up the call before he could take the payment I would lose the promotion 😂😂😂 BS, scaaaaaaam 💩👎

This is a telemarketer with a twist. I can't tell if it's a real person or not....I suspect not. It seemingly has a range of responses to your questions and if you ask the wrong one of its interface, it hangs up on you. Always starts out with an "Uh hum, sorry I'm having trouble with my headset" a dry laugh and launches into the scam for a free vacation. Here are the #'s I have so far:509/537-0009, 509/717-3128, 509/481-9251, 509/228-8297. They probably have an endless supply of #'s, so I'm not sure blocking them will do much good.

Yup. It's a scammer. More sophisticated than the normal telescum. The old "trouble with my headset" ploy lends credence to their story, but don't believe it. Mark it as blocked and carry on!

Have some fun with them, I do. Tell them to bring it on, send out the Feds...come get you. The responses are comical and unprofessional. These guys called me once when the Fed Government was shut down....asked them if they were coming to get me in rented go karts. Don't let them ruin your day, ruin theirs.

If only there was something we could do...like send a jolt of electricity back on them. But unfortunately, there isn't until they actually commit a crime worthy of the authorities to pursue. There are various apps with varying success rates to deal with them. I used Mr.Number when I had an android phone and it was great. It kept track of everyone who called you and you just hit the type of nuisance call and gave a report about it if you wanted to.  Got an iPhone and downloaded the same app....not nearly as user-friendly. You have to actually enter the nuisance number yourself.

I did, I just don't like this Mr.Number app, the iPhone version of it. It's not as helpful as the android app of the same name. It's not catching the calls I want and the process to flag all of them is cumbersome. The more I think about it and the way she responded to my questions, when they finally hung up and the perfect unfailing execution of her speech lends me to believe it's a very sophisticated bot.

I never pick up.
I check online, then save the number as Reject if it shows up here, or any other number-checking site.
