I received a call from 509-563-4641 on Friday morning at 8 am, then again at 12:16 on the same day.  The message left was that the call was from the IRS & they were filing charges against me & that I was going to be arrested.  I called them back, (this isn't the first time I've received these calls), asked who I was speaking with.  Some guy who sounded of indian descent told me that I called the IRS (very slowly) and asked what did I want.  I laughed, told him that the IRS doesn't call and he needed to remove my number.  He very eloquently told me to F*** Off & hung up.  I called back & asked to speak to his supervisor.  He responds with "Why ma'am", I responded, Please let me talk to your supervisor.  He "placed me on hold" yet I could hear everything that was going on.  Tons of conversations in the background.  He got back on the phone & pretended to be someone else.  I responded with "Do you really think I'm stupid?  You sound exactly like the guy who just told me to f off."  He started laughing & said "Oh, you caught me!!  How did I do ma'am?"  I told him he needed to learn how to imitate real people & that he sucks.  He hung up on me again.
Be careful out there, DO NOT give out your personal information to people you have NO clue who they are.  The IRS DOES NOT call you, they go through the mail if there is an issue.  Protect yourself & your loved ones.

Today I received a call from the IRS saying that they were filing a law suit against and that I need to call them back immediately so I call and it was also a man from Indian descent but the thing about it was he know my name and told me that the sheriff from the IRS had an arrest warrant out for me! So he said in order to to stop the warrant I need to pay him 500.00 right now I ask home if he was crazy???? He said I had to go to the bank and withdrawn the money he would stay on the phone until I made the money withdrawal so I play along and told him I had the money in hand. Then he told me to go to CVS and he continued to keep me on the phone he would not let me hang up... So I played the game and told him I was at CVS he told me to wire the money to the IRS and then he would make a payment arrangement with me for the balance... I asked him if he was that freaken stupid that I would really believe he was from the IRS calling me to wire money. Then he hung up on me.  Whatever you do do not give personal info over the phone to anyone!!!!!

We've had three calls from this number in the last two days.  We hang up.  Thanks to this site I know what it is.

I received the phone call on Friday saying the irs is filling a lawsuit against me.. so I call the number back and the guy saying I have a warrant  for my arrest and I owe the irs 4500.00. Man this is a fkin joke. I've been hass for the  pass two months.. I wish this would stop now

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I get these calls weekly.they won't stop and if u don't pickup they leave the same message to call this number its the IRS and I'm being sued.

I just received a call from this number saying that a lawsuit was being filed against me and I needed to call back immediately.  I did so and there was no answer.

When this number calls it's not the IRS, it's a scam.  My husband is an accountant and he said that the IRS never calls the home.  So do NOT give any information to these callers.

It's a scam, I got the same message and the lawsuit is from the IRS, and the IRS never calls the home and says that, my husband is an accountant and he said it's a scam they want your personal information, do NOT call back.

Received a pre recorded message from 509-563-4641 claiming to be the
IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against me. Called twice within a few hours.

Recorded message, female voice, came twice today from this number. Said it was the IRS and I was going to be sued. Listed a number to call back to. I didn't record that number.
I sent a text message to the number telling them to not call me any more and that I would be reporting it.

I received a voicemail from this same number today.  Tried to call back - no answer...hmmm...thanks for confirming my suspicion.  Just blocked the number from my phone!

I received a call yesterday 8/18/15 also a recorded voice saying they are the irs and intend to file a lawsuit against me to call 509-563-4641 Caller id came up Colville Wa.

Thank you so very much for this helpful information. These calls are becoming more and more frequent and are even getting worse on my cell phone. The numbers seem to change up, but my mother instructed me to go to donotcalllist.com or donotcall.com or something along those lines and you can be placed on a list that removes your phone number from these call lists that are in circulation. Furthermore, you are able to make complaints about the numbers that have called you with a couple of exceptions. I found this to  be very helpful, though I will admit that they inform you when you place your name on the do not call list that it will take up to 31 days before they can ensure that you are to receive no more calls from these people; also, there are a few (limited) number of people who will still have access and permission to call you but I do not believe that they are the scammers that have been placing these annoying calls. I do not understand where these people find the time and the energy to do these sorts of things. However, even though those few exceptions are there, I feel as though even that much protection against these scams is better than none, as I don't want to have to use an app to block calls. I simply want my number to be used by those people who know me and are calling me for a legitimate reason. Thank you again for your help.
