Got a call from this company telling me " The IRS has filed a lawsuit against you, and you need to call us back at 509-587-3640"

It was a computer voice......

Uh.... the IRS sends you SNAIL MAIL, and not some Bullshi!T recorded message.

Saying IRS has filed lawsuit against me. Definitely not the IRS.

Also received this call, they are pretending to be from the IRS and saying they are an officer. (BTW they appear to be from India or Pakistan) We are supposed to be a recorded line, they keep repeating that. They also can NOT share any personal information with us to determine if we are they right person. Must pay the money through an EFT (Electronic Federal Transfer-yeah right) You have to pay by Money Gram. He actually wanted to keep us on the phone while we go to Walmart and get the money gram. My husband tried to keep them on the phone just for laughs. Then he said he has all our personal information and will be suing us because we kept them on the phone for 18 mins.

IRS will not notify you, you're being sued by phone. SNAIL MAIL is the way they go.
Please don't be taken by these frauds.

Got a call from 509 587 8640......left voice mail from a american female voice.   Call back # 509 587 3640.    Some arab or indian ( [***]) started in on me...knew it was a scam the second the fool started talking

same here. told him how do i know this is legit, he said if i did not believe him i could hang up and then the police will be knocking on my door within the hour.  i told him to go ahead and call

Just received computer voice message saying that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. I called the above number. He said that I hadn't paid taxes from 2008-13. Said I owed them $7,983.63 and would take $3000.00 today and set up payments starting in Oct. Would love to meet this guy in person.

We live in NH & just received same message on our answering machine. This most definitely is a scam, would advise all to Delete message and do not call them back.

Same deal we live in NY a message was left on the answering machine buy a pre recorded voice saying the IRS was going to be suing us. forget about it! don't even think of calling of calling them back.

Saturday, 1238, 15 AUG 15.  Voice mail on home phone letting us know "this is the final call to inform that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you.  Please call 509-587-3640."  The voice was a normal computer-generated voice.

Just got the same call saying the IRS did an audit and they found an error and the IRS has filed a law suit against me.  First of all, I couldn't even understand the guy very well- Indian maybe?  That upset him and he repeated himself, so I told him the IRS does not work this way with a recorded message on a Saturday afternoon!  HA, right!  What got me though was when I told him I was having my husband calling him back he said if I hung up, there would be an arrest warrant on me immediately!  What a stupid, half assed scam!

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

We got so tired venders with their robo calls, still have an answering machine, Even if your on the no call list. Plus we have an accountant do our taxes.  Knew it was a scam, the minute I heard it.  Have had dealings with the Real IRS years ago.
