- Joe May| 7 repliesJust got a call June 1 2015 at 1:20pm from 509 588 7314. Caller ID is "out of area." I let it go to voice mail. They actually left an automated message stating that I am under investigation by the IRS and must call that number back immediately. I know this is a scam. The IRS will not call me.
Please don't fall for this scam.- Caller: Out of Area
- George P. BurdellSame thing as Joe may reported. I got one call from this number at ~1230, picked up the call but there was no one on the other end, so I hung up. I got the second call from this number at ~1540 when I was in the garage so the call went to voice mail.

- Louis Padgett| 1 replyMy wife just received the same call. Some guy said that our 2008-2013 tax returns don't match. Said that they were with the IRS and were sending out the Sheriff to arrest us because we did not respond to any of their attempts to reach us. My wife was very shaken. Needless to say we never received any correspondence from the IRS. Guy had a foreign dialect and was hard to understand. Told them we needed to get in touch with our CPA. Guy did not want her to get off the phone.
Scam!!- Caller: Scam call saying they are the IRS
- JeanneReceived a voice mail saying to call the IRS as there was a warrant out for my arrest. I called the number, "Steven Smith IRM2507" identified himself as IRS. He had a foreign accent. Said there were discrepancies to my taxes from 2008-2013 and I MUST settle right now the $5,796.63 or I would be arrested. I said I wanted more information. He said no more information is forthcoming. "Will you pay the $,5796.63 now or be arrested." I said be arrested. He hung up the phone. I called our local police department and they verified it was a scam.
- NoraReceived a call from this number . The lady from the "IRS" insisted that I give her $9473.72 in some form of payment or within the hour a sheriff would pick me up and take me to jail..I told her that I knew this was a scam.. She called me a f------ B---- and hung up on me.. Be ware

- ChristineSame call received as others have shown, same message, that there are problems with tax returns and they have been trying to reach us.
- Caller: Unknown Number
- vicI'm tired of these phone calls. We've received 3 from different numbers, but the same message in each, except one was the State Dept. Two of the calls the callers had such a thick accent we could not understand much of what they were saying - just enough to know they were threatening us. On the IRS website they state that they do not contact people by phone, but through the postal service.

- Susan| 2 repliesJust got this voicemail after not answering a call: " We have been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from IRS internal revenue services. Please call immediately on our department number 509-588-7314 repeat 509-588-7314 thank you."

Please don't anyone fall for this. - Ralph509-588 -7314 called and left msg repeatedly that you are under investigation and unless called back immediately you would be sued. I finally called back, a man with a Indian accent answered. He stated this is the IRS. I asked whats your name and are you a US. federal employee. He gave his name and said yes. He asked the reason for the call. I asked him if this was a scam. I would not give my name. he asked for my phone number. I gave it to him figuring he already had it. he asked me if I was Marco Valentino. I said no. He said please disregard the call it was a mistaken identity.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
