Left a message saying the IRS has filed a law suite against you and to call this number right away.  Right!  Message was breaking up and hard to understand.  IRS sends you legal documents, etc.  Does scam come to mind?

Two calls today. Didn't call back but curious as to what they would say. It's sad that IRS has such a reputation of intimidation that these scams probably have some success or they wouldn't continue. Don't know why it would be so hard to shut them down.

Got calls yesterday and today...several of them. They left a message that they were from the IRS and we had to call back because we had a lawsuit filed against us. IRS doesn't do this. They will contact you through the mail. Check out the IRS website to see an account if this particular scam.

Yeah - right. Just another scam!!

They have been calling my home every day. Leaving messages. IRS calling and filing a lawsuit. I returned the call. I spoke to someone with broken English. He was offended when I questioned his authority. Rattled off a badge # etc.  I told him to send me a letter because I was not telling him anything.

Yup just got the message on my phone! Such a scam they didn't even have a name! Ridiculous

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Received two calls so far today from 509-588-7382 from IRS about a law suit.  Didn't return the calls

Message on my phone yesterday - could hardly understand the person - stressing that this was an IRS call and that I needed to contact this number - I called - I acted dumb - person said that I owe taxes from 2008 - 2013 - total amount $3456.00 - I asked why I was not contacted by mail - no real good answer - I let him continue until I was so sick of this and gave him a few choice words myself regarding this call being a scam.  Why is nothing done about this?  My 93 year old mother had a scam phone call and she was ready to write a check - this is horrible that people get away with it and steal from innocent people.  The number is plain as day - what more do you need - why can't they be prosecuted?

I was getting calls from another number stating the same things. I ask the caller several questions of which he couldn't answer any. Now i am getting calls from the 509-588-7382 number but when i answer they just hang up.

Same as the other comments.   Recording stated we are being sued by the IRS, but when I try to call the number back, cannot get anything but a busy signal.

Got the same call today. Not sure what they are hoping to accomplish as I called back the number and no one answered.  Just s prank I guess

Called left message to call their dept. No company No Name electronic voice.

Called this morning claiming to be IRS. The message broke up badly but it was obviously a scam. Don't panic until you get a registered letter.

Just received a voicemail that we are the subject of a lawsuit by the IRS and to call (509) 588 7382.  Caller ID said 'out of area.'  Ultimately said "your party is not answering" when I called the number.

Got a call threatening an IRS lawsuit.

Got this call yesterday too.  Saying it was the IRS.  They left message on my answering machine. SCAM
