Called ID says Spokane,  Left message that IRS is filing law suit against  me  and that I need to call 5095901402 immediately to get info regarding this case file.  I am retired and on a pension so my tax returns are very simple and they are up to date, so I treating this as a scam.  Will look good in prison stripes I bet

Yes I received the same call from this number 509-590-1402 and 590-774-4711. With me knowing the IRS DOES NOT CALL YOU, I was like lets have some fun. So I called back and just cursed him up and down till he got pissed off and hung up on me. It was worth the laugh next time its a whistle in the ear. Just another SCAM

I just got the same IRS scam call on my cell phone!

I received the same call. It was an IRS impersonation scam.

Beware off this scam Google IRS phone scams and see about it. They called something about a law suit and final notice with a fake case number. I called back and the person with a accent didn't speak good English they try to act like a senior officer with a fake case number fake badge they read a whole script to me told me if I hang up I am going to jail and wanted to pay them today or I would have a warrent out for me And the cops would be at my door. I hope people don't fall this scam please warn older people and family friends so nobody gets scammed they want to put fear in people they sound like they in a call center spoofing numbers . More people have report these calls

I got a call claiming that I owe the IRS money. This is a scam. I filed a report with the IRS.

Yes, I did receive this call too with a message impersonating they are calling from IRS.  I reported it  to www.donotcall.gov

IRS does not initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.   IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes.  IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of  money.  IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone.   IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

We just got a call from this number & its a total scam - she was demanding payment or send immigration  to my house. To bad I am legal!!! but nice try:)

5095901402 just called again left no message.  If IRS is so interested in me to call twice in same day, maybe Lois Lerner could call me personally

I just got one as well, I work for the government so that shows up on their end as "Government" phone call.  Needless to say, no one answered my return phone calls

They called me for the 2nd time.  On my TV it showed as a 0-115- number which is an international number.  On my answering service it gave the 509-590 number.

We just received the second call today from 509-590-1402, stating that we were being sued by the IRS and the caller ID showed Spokane, WA.  I told my husband that it was a scam and I was very pleased to see all of these posts confirming the fact that it is a scam as evidence to show him.  He breathed a sigh of relief after reading this information.

I just received a call from the number +509-590-1395 saying the irs has file a lawsuit against me also. The caller id said Haiti! I knew this was a scam the irs do not call you they send you a letter!
