Received a call from the "IRS"? stating the call was being monitored and if we did not pay $XXX dollars a sheriff would be coming over to arrest a person in the house. This "IRS" person had a foreign accent (surprised?).  I read an article about this scam.  The IRS states they will not contact you via phone but through the mail.

I just received a call from this number as well, it was automated. When I called back they stated that there was a lawsuit in my name as I owed back taxes from 2008-2013. $3987.00 to be exact. I supposedly had two options, to agree to a court date or pay the money now. The lady said her name was Suzanne Brown (she could hardly read the script with her strong middle eastern accent) and she made me write down her Id number: IRM1260. When I asked how I wasn't notified via mail, she said my address and that the IRS had sent certified letters to my address with no response, so this is why they were calling. Ahem, don't you have to sign for a certified letter? I told her I thought she was trying to scam me and I hung up the phone. I told my husband about it when he got home and he laughed, asking me to call them back. I did, she answered "internal revenue service, can I help you?" I told her I just wanted her to know I was going to turn her in and she hung up.

I received the exact message as above, so I called them back. An Indian girl answered the phone with "IRS." I told her she wasn't the IRS, but that what she was doing was very illegal and she should stop. I told her that I didn't want to see her go to jail for this, and that they do have jails in Yakima. She was very quiet after that. Probably just some naive girl they picked up off the street for the scam.

I have rec'd 2 calls within the last 24 hours telling me that I needed to contact this # with regards to an IRS matter and that failure to call would result in legal action.  Because I know that the IRS would contact me by mail regarding any issues, I did not call.  This is a SCAM!

I received a voice mail from this number stating IRS is filing a lawsuit against person at this number. I called back an a Asian man aswered and asked for my phone number, which I only gave zip code. Her stated my number and name. He also gave me his employee number, then he asked for my social security number. I said no, and he said hang up the phone right now?

Beware off this IRS phone scam please Google IRS phone scam and  this scam was just in my news paper. I just got the same call the the person sounded like they where in a call center told me I was going to jail and if I don't pay the cops will be here in 1 hour to lock me up and a law suit freeze my npback account all these crazy stuff even pass the phone to some saying he was senior officer read me these fake charges fake case number fake badge number wanted to go get the money out while they stay on the phone with them and told I can't hang up or tell no about this. I hope people report them to the FBI or the cops or government so others don't fall for this scam they try to scare people with saying your going to jail try to put fear in people always tell some one never give money out they will get your information when u call back that number. I hope people call the news news papers spread the word about this scam

I got a call this morning at 5:45am. Supposably IRS is putting a lawsuit against me and I called a couple minutes ago and it's a call center with people with a heavy accent from the Middle East are answering. When I told them that IRS never calles he got defensive.  I told him to stop making these scams and he hung up on me right away.

I received a voice mail this morning from 509-980-0399, but I did not call back. It stated:"Information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 509-980-0399. I repeat 509-980-0399. Thank you."

Same as others, claims to be IRS.  I called them back twice today.  The first time when I mentioned hiring a lawyer the guy hung up.  So I called back, got a woman, told her to remove my number and not call her again I would get a lawyer.  She said ok, I repeated, DO NOT call here again.  We'll see if it works.

this number is calling me at 5 and 6 in the morning telling me the irs is filling a law suit and when i call the number u cant understand what there saying

Same as othrs. IRS scam for money.  Told me I was going to be arrested if I didn't pay.  Stated his name was Mr Larson.  Middle eastern accent difficult to hear or understand.

I received the same call from 509-980-0399. Total scam, what is wrong with people!?!

Call from "irs", asked to verify name and address and then asked for the last 4 digits of my social security #--finally, bells went off in my head. Never, never, never ask my ss#, that is no one's business, not a doctors' office, not my gym, not anyone.

I am in the same scenario as everyone else whom was called by this number.  Message left,  call from I Sams a lawsuit is being filed against you.  No recipient name (s)  given.  Ordered to call 509-980-0399. Husband laughed and said IRS would send notice via mail only.  Beware!!
