using a number not previously reported:    510-211-9870
Usual 2-second hangup by the robot caller when it went to voicemail.

I haven't picked up, but they've called twice today and have not left a message. Checked this site to see who it might be. Thank you to "hank" for leaving a comment about this number. If they keep it up, I will be blocking this number.  :)

They've changed the Caller-ID to just repeat the number: 510-211-9870

Jerks have called twice today - no message

They've called my home several times but never left a message.  The identifier used to be "California Caller."  Now it only displays the number. I dialed back 510-211-9870 and got a recording with musak and a woman speaking Cantonese (?) on the tape. The only word in English was "Alameda."

I stayed on the line until someone finally answered. "Tanja" told me that I'd reached "the 211 information line" for Alameda County, California. (I found them at www.edinir.org on the Internet.)  I asked 1) why they'd been repeatedly calling and 2) told her to stop bothering me.  She seemed surprised, said she didn't know why it was happening and promised that she'd get their "techs" to find out.  We'll see if the calls stop.

They call our home and all I hear is a gun shooting.
