MY GOD these people are nuts! - It is me.They called early, about 9:30 am. I have never ever taken any of there calls, but now I see most all of there calls are around 9:30 am or after dinner to about 9:00 pm. They have called for over a year now. The letter they send was for a dept back in 1999. I tried to pay that dept to the original creditor, but was told "it was charged off" I also tried a credit helper company, but was told the same thing. Now, 10 years later some one buys the dept and wants the money? They can pound sand, but will never get a dime. I tried to pay, and was told no. My credit is now clean.
BTW if you pay one dime to them they can re-activate your debt. Be smart and stay off the phone with these rude clowns.- Caller: Portfolio? I am sure.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Shadow(DO NOT) talk to Portfolio Recovery when they call.... just hang up!!! LOL....They will suck your soul from you if you talk to them!!!!
- Call type: Debt collector
- NickSpecial thanks to "Itisme".... These people have been harassing my wife for a year. She also offered to pay the original creditor. NOPE. Same deal. I OFFERED TO PAY THE CREDITOR... IN FULL!!! NOPE. They call at all hours, day and night. I will not send a dime to them nor will I allow my wife to do so. They called on Christmas day for goodness sake. TRASH! If you get a call from them block it.
- Caller: PRS
- Call type: Debt collector
- AlexHang up, don't talk to them, any bill over 4-6 years old can not effect your credit and has fallen off the radar (unless you admit its yours and attempt to pay them.) I just tell these bottom feeders to pound salt.
Oh, yeah, don't send them ANYTHING in writing.- Caller: Portfolio Recovery
- Call type: Debt collector
- Fed UpThey have been calling me for almost two years - most recently, today. I only spoke to them once, to tell them they have the wrong person.
I have about 22 phone numbers that they have used so far, stored in my contacts list. Each time a number shows up that I don't know, I don't answer it, but instead, I run it via computer to see if it's PR, then store it in my phone with a check mark to send directly to voice mail. If they want to hire folks and pay them to make long-distance calls (that they also have to pay for), let 'em.
I also figure that they are monitoring this site and other call-complaint sites to see if they need to change numbers again, so I won't list any of the ones I have.- Caller: Unknown (but assume it's Portfolio Recovery)
- Portfolio Recovery are SCAMMERSThese folks are calling at all hours of the day and night, violating all rules of the Law, and not even the correct person. All over a Debt from 2000 for $104.00. Interesting enough, this is beyond the statue of limitations, and the person they are trying to collect from is DEAD. GEESH, talk about trying to get blood out of a Turnip. They are bottom feeders, who could not get a job at a soup kitchen as part of probation.
