call was so early in the AM that I pressed the wrong button + cut off call.  only get busy signal when call is returned.

They claim to be from the Police Activity Board. That is how the person on the phone introduced themselves. The line was busy when I called back to verify the call. My caller ID says "Unassigned".

I got a call but they wouldn't talk - when I said "you're number came up, I have it!" they hung up quickly - I called it back right away and then it was out of service! If I get one again, it's going right to the FBI

We get a call at least 3 times a day.

I wasn't here to answer the phone, so it was a hang up. No message was left.

I didn't answer it. Caller ID show California PAL, upon checking internet, it showed California Police Activities League, thus Cal PAL. Not an official police rep but non-profit for youth program etc. Number shown in their web page is different than called number though same area code.

every night around 8p.m. i get a call from this number.

The calls from 510-373-3845 continued for a week and half.  The caller ID - unassigned, never heard a voice.  I called it back once but the phone never rang, it just picked up immediately.  Last call on Jan 14, I finally said, "You must really be in some pain, let's pray together about it."  The caller hung up quickly.  No more calls since, I guess that worked.

Got call at 9AM on Saturday. As soon as I answered, the line went dead.

I just googled this number after receiving a call that hung up as soon as I answered.  It seems this organization has morons running their predictive dialer.  They should cease until they get someone who knows how to cross check the do-not-call list and only make calls when they have someone to answer them.

Called me this afternoon.  Went on about being with the California Police Activity league.  When he asked me if I was familar with the P.A.L., I told him of course I was, as I am an actual police officer in California.  He then thanked me for my service to the state and hung up within 10 seconds of my identifying myself as a police offcer.

A girl who said her name is Brianna Salcedo, who told me she makes $8/hr for calling, called me from this number, also from the Police Activities League. I'm looking for her number in hopes of calling her at home to discuss issues that interest me. She said it was an "auto-dialer." Oh, well, gee, that makes the interruption all the nicer.

I got a call today (1/31/08) from this same number. I too have been on the National "Do Not Call" registry for several years. I was on the other line and did not pick up. They did not leave a message on my voicemail.

ALSO ON "DO NOT CALL" REGISTRY, WHICH OBVIOUSLY HAS FLAWS.  IGNORED CALL MADE TO MY LANDLINE ON 01-31-08, AT 8:43 PM.  ANY LEGITIMATE (PRIVATE OR NON-PROFIT) ORGANIZATION WOULD NOT CALL SO LATE IN THE EVENING. BEWARE!

I'm also on the National Do Not Call. The caller simply hang-up after I said hello twice. My caller ID show the California PAL.

First time for this number... got a hangup after I answered... Says it's California PAL... I check suspicious numbers and it never fails that I find this website!

Saw # on caller ID .. 510-373-3845 . had someone at studio I used to work for call THE number and she got recording saying "number is Police charity program..saying you probably are calling back because you got this number on your caller ID" she did not say 'you can leave a message or not ..so . BUT for years I would get calls from a so called police 'charity' thing . sometimes my town and sometimes L.A. area . saying to leave check for $35 outside in mailbox and put 'for deposit only' on it . made out to (forget) something to do with police . when I questioned same with MY PD . they said NOOOO .. I have a REJECT button :) . and they are now on it ..  Last year I reported this number to someplace FRAUD or something .. but this was probably on bottom of list .. Unfortunately, when I first moved here . I believed it WAS my PD and did leave check as they said to do:( .. then I told them 'on fixed income cannot afford it' .. 'awww, how about something?' . NOOOO and I hung up ..

Ooops forgot they DID show California PAL and was NOT first time in last few months they called either .. IF I am not right next to phone . do NOT hear it . that is how I want it and NO msg. taker turned on .. that is how I want it :) ..
