Received a call from a Attorney David Harrison saying that I owed money secretary's name is jennifer who transferred me to a Michael Wright.  Told them that my phone is being recorded.  checked all attorney in that area, no such name and under the california bar association no name.

Just got a call from this number. Very excited voice of David Jackson.  Must give him my attorneys name or I will have to go to the court house.  He tries to be very intimadating. All this call is trying to do is extract money by stating I will have to go to the court house if I dont comply.

This is more than a prank caller, he is a scam, possible phishing scam person. He called me today, has a foreign accent, said his name was Ray McKenzie working at David's law firm in CA. He claimed I committed some fraud and criminal activity and was charging me in MN from his CA office

Received a call today from a Ray McKenzie. Not very a
nice call. Called me every name in the book. Called back and talked with a Jeff person who stated I owed money to some cash advance place. When I tried to get information all he told me was I was going to have police come to my work and I needed to got court house. Scary part is they had my checking account number. So if you get a call make sure to keep them talking to see what information they have.  Basically they were trying to get me to okay some sort of transaction. Do not do it and get to your bank.

I received a phone call today from a Ray McKenzie.He said I was going to be arrested for a crime and I shouuld return his phone call quickly. If I didn't not call him back the police would arrest me at my work place, my manager, and my references. What??? I knew something was not right when he mention that, yet he had the last 4 digits of my social and address. Now this is scary, very scary. What can I do?

These people keep calling me every day at work saying that I owe money. I call the company that they said that I owe from. They said that they did not send anything on collection. That is a scam....

Got a call from this lady saying that I had to go to court cause of some case if I didn't pay them I will find a way to sue them instead for wasting my time and calling me at work and home......

Cops don't arrest you for owing money, even if you do owe it.  SCAM, SCAM SCAM.  Keep saying no and sue the ba$t*rds.

First do not call them back under any circumstances.  Call a consumer attorney in your town, they will probably give you a free consult; you may be able to sue THEM.  If any one whose opinion matters to you gets contacted, tell them this is an attempt at extortion and refer them to this site.  Because the links down the right side will tell the tale, and if you hit them, it doesn't just show this number, it will show multiple numbers.  But definately talk to an attorney.  Log enough calls, and they'll get hit for harassment, if nothing else.  And extortion is illegal in every state in this country, as well as Canada.  Don't let 'em get to you.  Good luck.

So, they are attempting extortion.  Don't call them back at all, and hang up on them if you pick up a call (after, of course, logging it).  Then, if they call someone else at your work, use the word extortion in your explanation, and refer them to this website.  If you click on the links on the right side, it won't be just one number come up; it kind of shows a BUNCH, which should help w/any explanations you need to make.  Do not say yes under any circumstances.  And, notify the company they claim to be collecting for that someone is attempting to extort money from you using their name, and ask for their security department to give them notice.  Good luck.

Just another scam.  As soon as you know it's you, say I'll be recording this entire conversation as well....What did you say your name was?...then hang up on them.  Scam, scam, scam.

Received a call today on my cell and at my office from the above mentioned number by a woman named Jennifer telling me dont disregard call it was time sensitive and to have myself or my attorney call them back right away. She said if I didnt call back then all she could do was wish me good luck as the situation falls upon me!! I tried to call back the number she provided but it did not ring!! Scarey Sh*t!! Who are these people????? What can be done to stop these harassing calls!!!!??
