i call this no# it said it is discollected so why is it ussed and how was it used it comes across my cller id as california

At 1256 PDT, today, Friday, 2008-07-24, I was called; the Caller-ID said the calling number was 510-564-2358.  Neither the Caller-ID, nor the caller offered any identification and refused to provide it when I requested it.

The call offered "Extended auto warranty coverage."

I informed the caller that I was on the National DNC list and to take me off of their call list and NOT call again.  The caller refused to acknowledge my request.

Five minutes later (1301 PDT), I called back and was informed that the number was disconnected.

At 318,326 miles, my 1981 Isuzu P'up diesel gets 33-35 mpg and is running strong; I won't want "extended warranty coverage" until I hit 500,000...probably about twenty years from now.... and not from these scammers!

It appears that this is an illegal telephone solicitation or it may be a hoax call (no worthwhile product) trying to determine which homes are unoccupied, as a setup for burglars.

Received message about extended warranty.
I'm on DNC list called back number disconnected.

Never and I do mean Never give any personal information to anyone over the phone if you did not initiate the call.

Rec'd 2 calls from 510-564-2357 only rang twice.  I didn't recognize the #, therefore I didn't pick up.  They didn't leave message.  I'm on the Nat No Call List.

Previously when I reported a call, I was asked if I asked them not to call.  I prefer not to have contact with them.  When you are polite, they aggressively push whatever they're promoting, including "surveys" which in many cases is a euphimism for sales.

Got a call, it was a recording and was partially cut off, it started the speel right when my voicemail picked up.  It is a car warranty extension service, I get them alot.

on caller id at 3:58pm  no message left i didn't recognize the number so i did a search which didn't give results; when i googled the number i ended up here.

***notice to all - BEWARE there is a software available where someone can choose your number to program in to their phone and make phone calls..whoever receives the call...thinks it is from you (if they know you)  my nephew has an IPhone and did this to me by using my son's number- he was playing around...but it is scary to know that it is possible

this automated call offered an extended warranty. I waited on line for a person and they hung up when I said I had a 74 VW bug.

I don't suppose this number is connected to 1-818-870-5097 since I've been getting calls from that thing too? And perhaps 1-386-677-4806 which is listed as being from Florida and Google turned up nothing? I'm so done with these calls.

all of these type calls are very annoying...

since 99% of all these calls on these websites we report at are auto warranty calls and cc calls, etc... the scammers should get the drift by now that if we ain't buying it, don't try and sell it...

I got a call from 510-564-2358 also. I don't answer if I don't know the number. I am on the National Do Not Call list, I have caller ID and I have an answering machine, all because of these kinds of calls. I agree with pat 2......the telemarketers or scammers or whatever they are should get the message that we don't want what they're selling but I guess they aren't that smart!
