These guys are calling my mother and saying they are DEA and they are going to take my mother to court and that she is going to thrown in jail if she doesn't give them $300.00. You can tell they are Hispanic because of their accents and I have threatened them numerous times. My mother has cancer and she doesn't need to deal with this.

I got a message left on my answer machine about the very same...from an Office Thomas Harrigan from the DEA troubled task force or something like that...he talked really fast. When we couldnt get through, I googled the phone number and found this site...I hope people arent falling for this!!! but I called my local police department and they said to either call 800-251-3221 or go to www.ifccfbi.gov and report it...I guess its a national task force for internet crime...scams...

This person called me.  He identified himself as Thomas Harrigan or Harrington (he spoke fast and has a hispanic accent), said some online pharmacy people were arrested and were set to testify against me for having given them my credit card 3 years and 8 months ago (LIAR!), and that I needed to contact my attorney and be ready because there were agents within 10 minutes of my home on their way to arrest me.    When I insisted he confirm his name again, and provide me with his telephone number, he said, "you already have it.  Just be ready for arrest and I'll see you in court!".

Here i was at home alone, and I must admit - quite panicked.  I was expecting him to try to get info or cash out of me somehow, and that would have confirmed a scam, but he didn't.  He just terrorized me for the thrill of it, i guess.  Or maybe he'll call back and try again.

Jess - Hoax DEA Phone Call
I just received a phone call at 3:15 p.m.  and didn't answer becuase I didn't recognize the phone number 510-567-4500 (x231) the gentleman had a strange accent but left the name Anthony Williams from DEA Drug Enforcement Office informing for me to return his call.  I have NOT attempted to call him back becuase I have experienced phone calls like this in the past.  Glad I googled the phone number and was able to see all of the other posts confirming my original thought that this was a HOAX!!!

    Unbelievable!
Before Christmas I got a message on my answering machine from some one saying they were a mark thomas, from the Dea. Having nothing to hide I try to reach him and left numerous messages. Today I received a message from this Thomas Harring (from the so called Dea) I called him back and he told me that I was facing jail time for ordering over seas. Knowing I didn't do anything wrong I continued to listen and yet I felt a little nervous of everything he was telling me. He said that the charges can be reduced by pleading guilty and paying them $4500.  I told him i needed to talk to someone and get legal advice. He told me he wished me luck in court. My husband made a couple phone calls to some local agencies and they said that it was fake and that he was the third person that called about this this week.  Glad he was there to take over when I was upset.

A Latino (speech) called earlier today and threatened to supoena me to court because I was "uncooperative".  This is the 4th call, but the other 3 were were from numbers that I didn't save.  I will, in the future.  Thank you. All were dealing with "drugs", and threatening to send me to jail!

I just received a call for this "Thomas Harrigan" . He spoke fast and threatened me a handful of times with being arrested and fingerprinted. Just like all of the post above he said I puchased diet supplements/illegal drugs over the phone in 2008 and it was a felony. He told me to google the Thomas Harrigan name and I did. There is a photo of a real DEA agent with the name and a bio.
The phony guy said that I was being uncooperative and he was just calling as a courtesy call before the agents arrived to arrest me. He also asked me if I felt that I was a law adibing citizen. I said "well absolutely I do, I also own many firearms legally and you seem to have a very strong hispanic accent to be a caucasian man, so come on over!" he hung up on me. I phoned the local DEA agency in town and the Special Agent said that it is a scam and they are trying to  catch them. He also said that these people are calling from other countries and the calls are being rerouted thru this number in the United States. What a loser. He will rot in hell for all he is doing, it just wont be soon enough.

Just got the same phone call from this piece of garbage telling me that they are on their way to arrest me in a few minutes (yeah right) and that I was going to be prosecuted in a court of law for my crimes?!  He told me that in October 2007 I purchased some illegal prescription drugs and the owner of the pharmacy gave them my name.
DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR NAME OR ANY INFORMATION!!  He apparently will try to get money out of you by scaring you.  No real DEA agent would call and threaten you over the phone.  He is a total piece of garbage.  I am calling the police and reporting that number.  If the earlier poster was correct about the address I am giving them that information.  I hope this guy is arrested and given the death penalty.
