Have been getting calls with no message.  Finally called the number and got a "you have reached a Google phone customer.." I left a message to stop calling me.   It might work.

Got same calls, never a msg. Probably Google/computer-based calls from PG&E or something like it. Originates from Hercules-Rodeo about an hour and half southwest from state capital Sacramento,CA.  Same exact calls reported at WhoCallsMe whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/5105924630 .

Claims to be "Energy Savings Group" a "non-profit" operating out of the "Oakland California" area.
Representative said they are immune to Do Not Call regulations because they "use a list of utility customer phone numbers".  After I pressed a bit they hung up on me.

Called not too long ago. Thanks to caller ID we will never answer these calls. They keep trying though.

this # doesn't say anything. i called back and it said leave a message for google voice, what the heck is this????????

This one left a message about re-fin my mortgage. I don't answer calls when I do not recognize the phone number on the caller ID. And see if they leave a message, most do not..

Number called, stayed on the line, but NO message, or vocal at all.  I suspect they have a
'do not call' list (as mine is on the Fed one), and their auto-call device completes a call BEFORE noticing it's a do-not-call number.

Well 'this the season, folks (political), but I don't need any help making my own decision.

Needs to be a NEW Don't Call Me list, which allows you to opt out of Political, Charities, Churches, etc, who, as it stands now may still call you, Don't Call List or not.  Presumably due to THEIR rights to freedom of speech. . . What about MY right to PEACE and QUIET!!!

The first message is a robo-call, a recording about home improvements. Robo-calls are illegal whether or not you are on the Do Not Call line. No legitimate business would operate this way.

I am in the 510 area code, and this comes up as OUT OF AREA caller. I never answer, but they call all the time. Thank you for Caller ID!

Robo calls are illegal. If their system overlooks the list, using that system is illegal. Because someone said these people are (or pretend to be) a non-profit offering a service, rather than a sales call, I called them back. The answering machine talks about energy saving and invites you to leave a message but there is no time to actually say anything. So I suspect these people are scammers. If they represented a real, profit-making company, they would have identified themselves by the company name and their sales calls would be illegal to those in the Do-Not-Call list.

Unless we recognize the number, we allow all calls to go to the answering machine. My message is "Sales calls to this number are illegal. If you are trying to reach our family, leave a number and we'll call you back." These people hang up when our message begins. It's also worth noting that the caller ID for them reads "UNKNOWN NAME." What company — or non-profit service — would have that sort of ID?
