- NSGot a phone call from this number everyday this week. No messages left and when I did answer they said nothing. Heard numerous people in background speaking spanish.
- Dan| 2 repliesReceived a call for a few weeks prior to today. Decided to answer phone. They say they are First Financial wanting to lower your credit card interest rates. On the BBB there are many of companies with same name that are not trusted. Person was pleasant but so was I. I gathered information while I looked it up on the PC. I then determined I did not want any service they were providing. Based on the questions: They only have a name and #, dont go giving out your details.

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE FOLKS!
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!
ASK THEM TO PLACE YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER ON THEIR "DO NOT CALL LIST". Trust me, they will call again and then you must tell them that you will report them to the FCC and Federal Trade Commission.
This a debt referral service operating under the name of US Financial. They have also called using phone numbers from New York state (areas codes 516 and 718) using the names of First Financial and Trust Financial.
The way it works is that all they have is your name. They apparently do not have your credit report. How they get information is by asking you questions such as if you have credit card debt over a 7% interest rate. If you say yes, then they ask you what your highest interest rate is. They then "offer" low monthly payments by referring (actually transferring the telephone call) to a law firm that specializes in debt restructuring. I talked to one of these law firms (located in Florida) and looked up their Better Business Bureau rating- a "D" grade.
Do not talk to these people. They are just telemarketers for law firms that will not get you out of debt.
NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION OVER THE TELEPHONE TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE CALLED YOU. Ask for a callback number, company name and website. Look it up on the Internet and the BBB.org website. If they say it is your bank, credit card or other financial institution, call back on the phone numbers listed on your credit card or statement. Protect yourself from social engineers!Caller: US Financial
Call Type: Telemarketer" - anonymousI have received several calls from this number and after telling them Im not interested I was told to get lost. Unable to call the number back.

- anonymousI received a call for my parents so i gave them my dad's cell thinking it was a business call for him. She was very rude so i looked uo the number and called my dad back and told him not to answer but he had already answered and just hung up.
- Mike replies to DanOver the past several days I have received a few phone calls from 510-618-7348 telling me they were my credit card company named First Financial. They said to me, "Can I speak to Michael?" When I asked who was calling they said, "Its your credit card company, First Financial." I have told then to remove me from their calling list and that I was going to report them to FCC for Scam. I also told them to put me on their "DO NOT CALL LIST" but the calls continue. They hung up on me and when I went to call back the number, I get a message that says, "This number is no longer in operation." They are a bunch of scam artist. DO NOT under any circumstances give them any of your personal information.
- anonymousI just received a call from this number also. my caller id says 011 510 618 7348. I told him to remove my name off his list. He got mad and said it will cost me and then hung up on me. What does he mean? Are we sure he does not have our credit report?
- Caller: First Financial
- anonymousHow do we get them to stop?
- Caller: first financial
- anonymousInstalled a call blocker on my cell phone, hopefully that will work
- Cheap CharlieThey operate under the guise of having a working agreement with most credit card companies to help reduce your card's interest rate. I contacted my credit card company and no such agreement exists with them and probably other credit card companies. They call the amount of money they are going to 'soak' you for as an enrollment fee (typically a percentage of the amount you owe on your card). My guess is they ask for the amount up front and you never hear from them again.
Best bet is to report them to the FTC and if you can identify the state they are calling from that state's Consumer Affair agency. I would also report them to the Do Not call Registry.- Caller: First Financial
