Someone keeps calling my house w/this number- never leaves a message. This and other numbers from 510-643-2121; 510-643-2138 call.

I think that is the Cal Fund which tries to raise $$ for the University.  I never answer calls that come from 510-643 or 510-642.  If I want to donate $$ I will do so online

same exact thing happened to me from that phone #. I am an alum, so that explains the call

I've gotten many calls from 510-643-2121.  When I reverse dial the phone rings many times.  No one picks up and no answering machine comes on.  I have no connection with University of California.  Why would I
get calls re fund raising?

Register the calling number "Do Not Call Registry" and follow through on your action.

It makes sense that it's a call for Cal Fund. I just don't get why did they hung up on me? It is shady.

Keep getting calls from this number and 510-643-2130.  When I answer they don't respond, I just get silence on the phone.  Way shady.

My daughter is a student at Cal. Tonight, her father and I each received a call from this number. Each of the calls dropped. We both called the number back, no answer. Worried, I texted my daughter and she was OK.

UCB gets the phone numbers from their students... do you REALLY expect them to know their own number?!

call received from 510-643-2123 at 8pm. they did not leave a message. wish they would not call after hours. really annoying.

Home phone which I never answer rang around 8:30 PM. I glanced over to see number on Caller ID, then immediately searched via Google, clicked on link to here, and discovered that apparently it's my beloved Cal behaving in ways I do not understand -- whole  transaction is odd. Doesn't sound at all like what I would expect from a first rate University attempting to get much-needed funds. All the fund-raising materials I receive in the mail are classy, well thought out and well designed appeals, so what is this "shady" phone solicitation campaign, as folks before me here have commented, all about?

Caller ID "Univ of CA Berk".  I didn't answer, but they sometimes call alums for donations or football tickets if you've bought them in the past, so I'm guessing it is one of those.
