Called early in the morning - left no message.

Caller ID shows URGENT.  Did not answer.

Senior alert scam.

Also showed "Urgent" as the Caller ID - how fraudulent is that?

I just received a call from this number.  I did not answer because the caller ID said "Urgent"
and I don't know anyone with that ID.  After checking on-line, I find it is a scam.  The Authorities
should stop this kind of flagrant disregard of phone laws.  I am also on the "Do Not Call" list
but this does little to stop these people.

I just got a call from "Urgent".  Something needs to be done about these scam calls.  I keep blocking calls and then more pop up.  If I don't recognize the number, they get blocked.

2 calls in last hr. Says California call. Senior Assist called yesterday from a 312 area code. Life Alert uses the same #. Urgent called from a 512 code diff #. Feels like they've kidnapped my phone. Why does the phone co. allow one phone # to have different names?

Adding my entry to the list of complaints today, as mentioned by others the Caller I.D. said "Urgent".  FYI:  Caller I.D. shows the name of the person or company to whom the phone number is registered.  In this case, the user quite obviously has made a deliberate attempt at fooling people into believing that the word "Urgent" is a text message of some kind, with the intent of tricking people into answering the call.  Now, being as smart as I am, I saw right through this blatantly deceitful scam and simply let the call get routed automatically to my FAX machine!  HA!  That'll give 'em an earful!

I find some of the remarks posted about these ‘faux telemarketer calls’ amusing.  I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these annoyance calls since 2012.  Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will get another of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid and passed it on.  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls.  If you have the capability to ‘block’ the number that called – that is the best action.  If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously.  If you really want to block them – there is reasonably priced software that a layman can install.  Of the 380 calls I’ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months.  So the message is simple – blocking works….

I received this number today and ID said URGENT! Ha I knew they were scammers. I don't answer any type of calls that I do not know.

they left a message that they got my name from my doctor.  not so.  Also this was all free and included $3000 worth of food coupons. Sounds a bit fishy to me. I do have the blocking option and will add them to my list.

Time to bring out the armed drones with ARM equipment and take these jerks out  as soon as they transmit!

So that must tell you something.

I suggest you not buy anything from anyone that calls in violation of the DNC list.

Charities (including non-profits) - The world has changed. Many, many non-profits are scams paying most of their intake to their executive(s). Quite a few charities now fall into this category also, therefore if they call me, I don't answer and they go on a permanent Do-Not-Donate list. [Charities take note.]

Surveys - I haven't seen an honest, statistically well-constructed survey in more than 2 decades (my first degree field). Most are designed to support the point of the person or organization paying the bills. Just don't answer!

Political - Besides being pesky, lately certain political organizations have "bent" the system by claiming to be non-profits and/or surveys. I DO NOT VOTE for anyone who calls me.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.

Got call from (510) 699-6281 with left no message.  Caller ID was Cell Phone CA.  Also, got another call on my other phone number from same Caller ID using different phone number.
