these people are scammers trying to scam but u can't

these people are now calling me at work, i work in the military and when i ask for a name an a reference number the person on the other line stalled and than gave me a fake name of rosie williams SCAMMERs

They just called me claiming to be a law firm (yeah right) - THEN they asked me to verify my information (my ss#, address, banking info, DOB, etc.) When I refused to give it to them, they began asking is the last 4 of your SS# **** - It was WRONG so I told them so (even if it was right I'd have said they are wrong) then they asked is your DOB 2-16-1986 - WRONG AGAIN everything they "verified" was incorrect aside from my name, which they could neither spell correctly OR pronounce. -  They claim if I don't wire them $275 within 30 minutes they will be sending me to court and suing me LOL!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT give these [***] any of your information, they claim to be cohand lawfirm (unsure of spelling) and BCI which they aren't because they are scammers.

They have called here numerous times over the last few days. Very thick accent and  they claim to be from a law firm. When I told them to stop calling, they said  " You commit fraud, you just wait and see what happens, you see, ok bye bye". Immediately after they called my cell phone, same number on the caller ID. When I answered it, they hung up. Soooo sick of this.

these idiots are definitly scammers! little [***] on the phone tried to get nasty with me and i said you better watch your mouth cuz we know who you are and you will be shut down as soon as the FBI and FTC get ahold of you. she (rosie) hung up on me and that is what i did 5 times in a row. hung up on them!!

These people are trying to verify my idenity by say that i took a loan out with some company that i never even heard about. i would like to report these people for harressment.  i have never heard of a William Scott but that seems to be one of the names they are using now a days.

Received not only a phone call but these people had the nerve to leave a voice-mail claiming to be with Cohen Law Firm calling from the # (510) 709-0781.  This man talked with an accent which , at times, made got in the way of me listening to him,  He stated this was a matter that needed immediate attention and when I told him my man wasn't available, he said that he MUST call back and be sure to have his attorney and that he "better do as he directed or he'll be sorry" and there is nothing he can do to help him out of this mess at this time.  This # calls my home at all hours in the day *a few times around 6:39am.  Everyone says that these people are scammers, but will someone please explain to me how this scam works. Oh, by the way, this last call he asked me to verify the last four of my husband and it turned my stomach and made me go off on the caller because miraculously, it was RIGHT!!!!  Does anyone have any idea where to go to check and see if I have been a victim of identity theft.

i just had the identity theft happen to me. it was kind of funny-we owed some back taxes and were paying on them and who ever used my ssan and name filed a fed tax return and got a refund and paid off all my back taxes. so now we have to mail in our tax return instead of doing it on line-and with it we had to fill out a form from the IRS for indentity. its a hassle, but we also had to alert each one of the credit reports, the FTC and our local police department. the IRS wanted to know if they catch the person, do i want to press charges-hell yes i said!! so you may want to start with your credit reports. but these scammers have gotten our infor from somewhere-mine started a year ago when i put in for a loan thru wells fargo. the scammers came out of the word work-calling and harrassing me. i just laughed at them. made them mad as heck!!

I have been getting calls from this company all day and they even called my work.  I never provide my work number to anyone because I work overnights.  They are threating and harassing.  This of course is a fraud.

Who do you report this situation to?   I lost a days worth of sleep.  I want to hassle them back now!

They have already sold my information and someone is using my social security number. I never even spoke to them, they called me numerous times and left voicemails which gave my entire ss number. I have contacted the police and they are working on this. The Marshal said that anyone else getting these calls needs to report them to the local police. If they have the last four digits of your ss number then I can almost guarantee the have the whole number.

this LAWYER is creepy!  my friend got 4 calls at my house stating that he has an affidavit with his name and social (which he provided and WAS CORRECT!) stating that he was being sued and that he needed to call him ASAP to prevent further legal troubles.  however, when he called, the number went to voicemail. i finally answered the calls and told him that no one lives here by that name and he kept spelling his name and such.  i still said no one lives here by that name.  he then asked me for MY name.  i said 'so you're calling MY house and asking me what MY name is?  no thank you.  <click>."  and he called back and said "can i have your name?  your voice is so cute and so sweet."  i freaked and hung up the phone.  this guy is a CREEP!  then a local town name came up (since the number that was calling was from CA and i live in PA) and IT WAS HIM!!, i immediately hung up.  i'm so creeped out by this guy.

My Co-Worker just received a call from this "Company" and gave her the same spill and said the last 4 digits of her social.  She just filed a complaint with the FCC and is notifying all the credit bureaus.

these guys are persistant..... they are mean and ugly on the phone. They did have my social and I have never called them back. This is my first experience with anything like this and it feels awful.

Just called me on my cell.  Now claiming to be the Hanson Law Firm.  Received another call a couple of seconds latter from 866-223-1014 leaving a recorded message telling me to call them immediately that this was not a telemarketer call.  Also got a call from 716-335-9066 - probably all related.  Definitely a scam.

i have received several calls on my cell looking for my husband. left a message and has my husband's full ss# correct. it is freaking me out, how can we stop these people???

this number is calling as law firm for legal case contact Walter Williams from california,thy got my number I guess one day i was online some advertisment for money in 60 seconds ,quick loan etc popup, I thought let me try this loan ,I started filing my information,at the end one new company popup your case is approved fill the application again at the end one new company came up then i stopped .logout .after two weeks somebody called me on he is a calling from a law firm in jacksonville Fl you have take loan of $365.company is sueing you . we are going to file a criminal case as well civil case against you.I said send me a copy of my case and i will take it police to take care of the matter .he hungup and after two months this number called and left message Walter williams for legal case must call back this is urgent.
this is all scam .it was stupid of me to type all information over computer for easy loan .everybody should write to CNN or  MSNBC news channel .about this scam .

These people called me looking for Mrs. Brooks which is not even my name, but they can't speak english right anyway, so i told him i would tell him my name and he said well f**k you, your name is M*****F*****G B**ch....really? is it that serious????? is there somewhere they can be reported?

its a payday loan scam!!!never fill out online anything. its idenity theft big time. even if you werent approved and/or never persued the pay day loan your information is being sold to these scammers. do not pay them. contact the ftc/and or fbi immediently
