Skip tracer trying to collect debt. They have wrong number and name but no way to get them to stop calling.

They use an automated attendant calling system and give you no options
except to leave a message.

Very aggravating.

Missed call from this number at 8:40am.

I have no debt, so I don't know why they're calling. No message. Too early to call!

Tell them you are going to report them to the PUC and they will hang up on you, but they threaten your credit.

Got 3 calls from this # today.

No message.

Got a call from these people today, an actual human left a message on my machine and asking for a Gail to call back (?), no one here by that name.  Caller ID said "unknown"--I thot it was now illegal for collection agencies NOT to put their names out for caller ID's???

Bought a new prepaid phone from AT&T and did not give it out yet to people I kow but this no called me and did not leave a message. This is disturbing and annoying because I have no Idea who they are.

I received a call from this number and didn't recognize it on the machine.  I never answered it, they left no message, and as usual, I used Google to see if this was yet another marketing or junk call.  Lo and behold, you guys are already onto this!  Thanks for keeping me from calling them back to see if it was something of any real importance.

Call from them into central time @ 10:43a.  ID said "California Call."  Did not answer # I do not know that is unidentified.  I have debts.

I have received two calls at my work number with a message that it is CBA and to call them back on an 888 number and with a reference number to give them. When I call back I get an answering machine that they are not open yet.

They call a few times a week.  They say they're a creditor but I don't have any missed payments or poor credit, even.

keep calling my new cell, called them back they said is this ray - i said no but.. they hung up immediately,  called them back and tried to explain that I was not who they were looking for and they hung up

Got numerous calls from this number and today received another but its an automated recording with three options:  #1 retrieve a message, #2 is the option for a call back if youre not home (which is a stupid option) #3 is if youre not the person they are looking for - I pressed 3 hoping this will stop them from calling - has anyone received this type of call?

I receive these calls all the time, every time I have answered them as soon as I pick up, the call ends. I never get any recording or anything.

I have received about  75 calls   from this number on my cell phone as well as my home number, but when I pick up, I never get any response from them. One month they call me every day at 8 am. Besides, I don't have any debts.

Same deal as everyone above.  Been getting the calls for about two weeks, maybe three to four times a day.

Called them yesterday and talked with a woman.  I explained that I was not the person they were looking for (they're asking for Timothy) and to please remove my number from their list.  She looked in their database and said my number WASN'T in the database but she'd forward my number to the IT guys to get it removed.  Received two calls already today (it's 13:30 PST).

Need to make an amendment,  it's not Association it's "of America".  Collection Bureau of America, my bad.

A Persone calls and I asks who this is. They reply CBA. I ask them who CBA is, but reply to me that they can't give that information unless I'm the person they are asking for. Then I told them if you can't provide me with that information then this conversation ends right now. I called the number back and talk to an operator and asked me if I was this certain person (which of coure it is me they are talking to), but told them not to call this number anymore. She replyied they would take it off thier calling list. Plus I don't have any outstanding collections anymore and have a good credit record for the last 4 years.

NEVER GIVE YOUR NAME UNLESS THEY ARE WILLING TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF ORANIZATION THEY ARE. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK AND THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO WITH HOLD THIER INFORMATION IF YOU ARE NOT THE PERSON THEY ARE ASKING FOR. SO IT'S JUST BEST TO SAY TO SAY GOODBYE IF THEY DON'T WANT TO TELL YOU WHO THEY REALLY ARE AND TO STOP CALLING YOUR NUMBER.
