Claimed to be from "Direct Buy" and that my phone number was picked to win a $50,000 home improvement or $50,000 cash - yeah right....I never gave you my number.  Blocked the number.

Man stating he was calling from Direct Buy.  Claimed I won a $50,000 home makeover or I could exchange it for a vacation.  Clearly a scam.  I never entered a contest.  Told him to remove my number from his call list and never call me again.  He questioned why I didn't want to claim my prize.  I hung up.  Tried calling the number back and there's a recording that it's not a working number.  I hate these scams!

Hung up on me when I answered the phone but I could hear a very noisy background, like a call center.

They left a 20 second voicemail with what sounded like a couple of women talking in the background, one of whom said "did you reach Becky" and some other muffled sounds. Sounded like a noisy background. From above comments, looks to be a scam.

Not familiar with the number but was 512 area code and thot may be my daughter calling from a friends phone..  picked up the call but didn't say anything..  guy was a lil freaked (his tone) kept saying hello over nd again really quickly  (quite frankly sounded like he was on tweakin' a bit).  Hung up, didn't call back.. today.

Person unclearly stated who she was with. I asked "who it was again" and she hung up. Could not call the number back cause it was "no longer in service".

Got a call from them.  Same as above.  Very Noisy background they wouldn't talk.  Going to report it to FCC now and link this page.

I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't pick up.  I was surprised when a message was left, and when I listened to the message, it was someone from that "Direct Buy" service referenced above, talking to someone else.  The gentleman on the phone said "please remove me from your list".  It was as if it was a 3 way call....  Hopefully they removed my number from the list, even though it wasn't me talking.  

I hate hangups

Just got a call from them. Didn't pick up because it ended with "0000" and usually...those are not regular numbers. They left a voice mail and it was over 2 minutes long of a noisy background (people talking) and some guy talking loudly into the phone. After about 30 seconds, he started to eat food (sounded like chips) VERY loudly. Like smacking and all. I stopped listening there.

Okay so  # ending with 0000 just called my phone didn't answer it but tryed to call it and it could not be diel back Lol

Got a call from this number. Man with a very heavy accent said he was calling from "something" (couldn't understand or hear him) and said that he was not "selling anything over the phone, but..." - the connection was so bad it sounded like he was calling me from a cell phone from one of those overseas call centers.  I hung up. I don't understand why telemarketers hire people who can't speak the language and then use a really bad (ie, cheap) telephone system.  If you wouldn't hire me to cold call people in China (I don't speak Mandarin) from my cell phone at home, then why would you expect me to talk to someone in Punjab doing the same thing?

512-204-0000 called....not good number..possibly foreign.

from oversees saying they were direct buy...I told them never call me again. They got my number from craigslist.

got a call from this number, called them back and got a recording that said the number wasn't a working number.

Answered the phone, I'm in Austin and I usually do when it's a 512 and there's a big festival in town (ACL this weekend). I thought it might be a friend in town with some fantastic offers, little did I know the hellish events that would soon unfold. I answered the phone in the traditional American style of "hello"? Then came 4 of the darkest, most twisted minutes of my life. There was nothing. No response to my initial verbal contact. I repeated myself, fairly certain this was some sort of prank pulled by a local prankster, a wayward local teen perhaps. Someone who could use some guidance in the ways of proper phone etiquette, things like speaking or responding. I was paid a handsome lesson for my folly that day. For there was nothing. A thick black silence that hung in the air, filling my ear with its evil nothingness mocking my soul. This went on until I thought the very foundation of reality was about to be torn asunder. Then they hung up as if it had never happened. What cruel universe would allow this unchecked aggression to stand?

call from Direct Buy  to my work mobile phone,   Although the caller ID shows a number from my area code (512), it sounded like a very noisy call center in India.  I had to say "hello?" several times to get him to speak, then whenever he spoke, I just replied "Hello?" .  Finally the direct buy spammer hung up in frustration.

Very noisy call center. Foreign probably. Wanted to give me my prize... a computer tablet.

I cut him off then hung up.

Didn't answer, came to this website, blocking the number now...... That just happend!

Got a call from this number today.  I didn't answer. Received a voicemail that lasted a few secs with only people talking in the background. Too noisy to understand anything.
