Voice message said my loan application has been approved, and I should call the number. This was an out of area call, and I have no loan applications.

I got a voice message also, saying my loan was approved, i called back and said I did not, they said they would "Cancel" the applications and that with Cash America I would not have to worry about anything. I asked for written confirmation and they did not want to provide, they had my address, phone number and name (all public records) did not confirm they had my SS or BD..... I think is people trying to gather information..... be careful. They provided me with the IP addressed used to apply for the loan, which is 70.246.62.175 located near Dallas. Not sure what to think of. Also this phone number is in Austin (or near by)

Received message on my recorder, Tues, Aug 5, 2014 at 12:09 PM that my "loan application has been approved for up to $10K".  I never in my life have applied to Cash America for a loan.  This is either a telemarketer or fraud (someone applied using my personal ID information).  To settle my curiosity, I called the phone# the foreign sounding guy said to call which was 1-512-270-1618.  Surprise, surprise.....no one answered, only a woman's voice recording said "blank" (name was cut off) was not available, to leave a message after the tone.  Of course I didn't.  I called 2 times & got the same recording, I didn't call them again.

Just received a call from 512-270-1618 the Person couldn't speak English very well and couldn't seem to understand me. Kept asking for my husband by his first name with my former last name. Lots of back ground voices as if in a calling Station.  I informed her to remove us from their calling list 3 times.

Got a call from this number saying my loan was approved but I didn't apply for any loan. Tried to call back but it states caller is "unavailable" and to leave a message/

Same message and I never applied for a loas...they could not verify my SS, but they have my address, name and telephone number...People be careful...SCAMS are everywhere...

Please take our phone number off of your call list. Your calls are a scam.

Our numbers are being sold by American Exteriors. Call your Attorney General and the FCC and the BBB and report them.

Same as everybody else. Gave my number to a company called American Exteriors and now have spam calls multiple times a day. Should have known better. Avoid this company like the plague.

I had just received a call from this number and did not answer it. I am glad I didn't now after reading the above posts.

Caller stated was the chief loan officer....then click....nothing. Blocked the number, but they added a 1 infront of it to get around my call blocker. Filing a complaint with the AG.

Received a call saying our loan was approved. I returned the call saying we had not applied for a loan and who was the loan for and the man mumbled some name and when I said he had the wrong number he came up with our name, address and phone number. I told him again we had not applied for a loan and we would be checking into who had in our name. He said he would take it out of the system.

Same as everyone above, except I didn't call them idiots back. I know I didn't apply for any loan. I was so happy that the "IRS" (yeah right) was finally not calling me any longer and now this. What's going on in this world? Are they still some honest people out there? One scam phone call a day seems to be the new normal. Just be careful everyone please.

I just received  another phone call from this number and left a message which I didn't understand at all. I am not calling this number back at all.

Got a call; this morning from this number, they said they were technical support, so I hung up.  I have been bombarded with these technical support  calls on both my home phone and cell phone.  From what I could find out it that they call from India and are contracted through a Tellus Marketing, which when you do a search it brings up a list, but who knows who is involved.

Received a call from 512 270-1618, Austin, TX.  Guy with south Asian/sub continent accent told me I had applied for a loan.  siad it was Cash America.  I told him this was fraud and he offered to cancel the loan for a fee.  I told him to direct me to their fraud department and he hung up.

Same thing as above.  I was approved for $10K.  Foreign guy and hard to understand.  

Just got this message today, saying I was approved for a $10,000 loan.  I called back and told them to cancel it, I never applied, and they said I must have, they had my name and my son's name.  They didnt seem to have any other info, though.  I was told they couldnt cancel, that it was too late, and why did I apply if i didnt want it.  I told them I did NOT apply, and suspected fraud on their part or identity theft on someone else's.  I was transferred to their "investigative" dept, and he told me I could go to the police and hire a lawyer to find out about identity theft, but it would be expensive and take months.  He would not cancel the application.  I kept asking why, all other loans can be cancelled at any time, kept badgering him to cancel, he finally hung up on me. I have now blocked that number, its obviously a scam.
