"Paul Jones" with Cash America left message on my answering machine letting me know my application for a loan has been approved for up to $8700.  Of course I have not applied for a loan anywhere and "Mr. Jones" spoke with such an accent he was difficult to understand.

Just received one of these Cash America calls.  My application for some amount of money has been approved.... I picked up the phone at this point.  The background noise was that of a "boiler room operation".  I never applied for money.  She said I did on line because she has my name, address, soc sec, drivers license "and stuff".   First off, I would never apply on line, and for that pathetically small amount, come on babe, I have that in that shoebox in the back corner of the closet.  I hung up on her.

My 87 year old mother in law received a call from this number. They call themselves Cash America. They said her loan for $8000 had been approved. She never applied. I called them back for her and told them to cancel the application if there really was one. I was told I would have to fill out an online form to cancel it since the application was made online and it would require a $150 security deposit to file it.. My mother in law doesn't own a computer. They did have her name and address correct and I don't know if they really had her social security number or if that is what they was after. I hung up.

As other respondents have written, "Paul Jones" of "Cash America" was calling about a $9000 loan application that I had not made.  He had a foreign accent and the background noise was that of a typical telemarketing boiler room.  He cited my street address accurately and kept trying to help with my application process despite my repeated statements that I had not applied for and did not want a loan from them.

I, like the rest here, have had a call from "Cash America".  From a "Frank Davis, and Adam Gadson" I talked with the male of an accent first.  After he found out that I would rather have the money transferred by Western Union, Green Dot played a part.  I began to ask a lot of questions because, first of all, I did not make such a loan.  Secondly, I wanted to see how far it would go. I agreed on the purchase of a Green Dot.  I said, "Honey, I want to know why I cannot just go to your other Ga. locations?" He said, oh, those are the Pawn locations, this is the credit department.  I raised my eyebrower and said, "Give me the address?" He did give me an legitimate address in Texas.  I called the number associated with the address given.  The gentleman answered the phone and said that no such person, " Adam Gadson" worked there.  Come to find out, I went a step further to find out that this number is a cell number.  What a Scam.. Be careful!!!!

Same as the rest of you, except my caller was a "Someone" Anderson (his accent was too hard to understand the first name). In fact I couldn't understand the Cash America until I looked up the number here & read the responses. $9000 loan approved. Bogus!
