received 7pm, just the number, no name. did not answer, no message.

Same as others.  The call went to my machine.  No caller I.D., no message.  Probably just another stinking robo-dialer.  If they call again I'll block the number and report the offense.

I keep receiving a call from 512-379-5648.  tried to block it but phone features says "cannot block this call:.  so how do I stop the number from calling?  do I return the call & ask them to remove me from the calling listA?  what good is paying for added calling features on my home phone when I cannot block these type of calls?

I called the number back, but their "offices" were closed, or they were helping other "patriots", which leads me to believe it's some sort of political call. It did say you could leave a message to be taken off their call list though.

Got called at 8:45 pm did not answer, no message was left. If you rn't going to leave a message don't call me!!!

This is yet another "Fundraising" scam attempt.  They call, you answer, they say nothing...and you hang up.  Your caller ID shows that number: 512-379-5648, but the name displayed is UNKNOWN.  As a Scam Buster, I always call these numbers back to investigate.  First, I call from the number they just called ME from--as it's in their system--just to hear their pitch.  Then, I'll wait about 30-60 minutes and call them from my cell which has the outgoing caller ID blocked.  Guess what?  I always get a different pitch.
For this particular phone number, they represented two different organizations.  When I called back from my landline--they were raising funds for the local police ans their annual ball.  When I called from my blocked cell--they were a fundraising outfit raising cash for vets.
I told them I was an unemployed disabled vet, and asked them where I could get my piece of the pie--knowing full well how the VA system works, and the various resources available.  They could not answer anything logically.

Concerning the "local policeman's ball," I asked why someone in Austin, Texas would be calling a Houston number--not local at all.  They gave me the typical runaround about being outsourced to handle the fundraising.

They just called but my digitone blocked the call. I love that thing! No more hoodlums calling my number!!

I was getting this call 3 times a day.  I would answer and no one would be on the line, then it would disconnect.  One time it left a voice mail, but the message was silent.  I finally blocked the number.  If you have AT&T U-Verse, you can block up to 20 numbers.  Comes in VERY handy for idiots like this!  BTW, I live in Dallas and this is an Austin area code.  So if it is for "local" donations or political crap, they are way outside if their local area!

I seen different posts on this # one says Assisted Living and the other Raising money for vets and aslo another one for funds for the police force. I  am SICK of these unwanted calls and open to suggestions how tostop them. I have  Do Not Call and also anom. call block but they still come in.

no one on the line called back number ,telemarketer asking for $$$$ for policeman fund . told him to take me off list !!!!!!!

Just received a call from this number.  When I answered, it hung up.  Shows caller unknown.  Wish all these stupid time wasters, could have a bill passed against them making the calls illegal.  We pay for our phone just as they do, but we are the ones who get penalized by having to put up with sooooo many!!
