I answered they said they were with(company name)calling on behalf of the Texas State Trooper Association(TSTA). They said hello and asked how I was doing I synced a pitch and said good but I am not interested and hung up before the could reply.

Yes. Also received call. They hung up on the answering machine.

I got a call this evening (5/27/09).  They claim to be from the Texas State police and want a donation.  I told them to send me the information to look at it and they pressed for a small donation.  I told them to just send me the information and they hung up.  I assume it is a scam.

Continually getting harassing phone calls wanting a minimum donation of $37. Give some sob story about the Texas State Troopers.  Will not take no for an answer.  Have requested several times to remove my number from their calling lists.  Read somewhere this could very well be a scam.

yes its texas state troopers association looking for funds.  in exchange they send you a bumper sticker.  it seems legit.... got their info in the mail as well.

they have called and hung up 3 times in one afternoon. I can hear breathing on the line before they hang up. This is not the way to go to get funds if they are with texas state troppers ass. This should be reported as harrassment!!! sounds more like a scam!

If they were legit they would use the correct name Texas Dept Of Public Safity

I received a call from this number.  Has anyone filed a complaint with the FCC yet?

Just to clarify,  "Texas State Troopers Association represents over 2,000 non-supervisory commissioned officers of the Texas Department of Public Safety."  They do not take on-line donations, but they take donations.  I am not saying these calls are legit, though.

T.S.T.A is a legit outfit and has been since 1979.  The founder is a retired officer of the department of public saftey. They contact you by phone to get you a chance to support the outfit and then invoice it to you in the mail. I called the attorney general's office and asked for verification and they gave it.

I've had numerous calls from this number, says they are state troopers asking for donations after the first few calls I just hung up on them. I received a call about 10 minutes ago and they hung up on me when I answered.

Just got a call and when I answered, for a moment there was silence and then busy signal.

I received a call from 512-410-5985 tonight around 7:45 pm.  I didn't answer and no message was left.
