Dear JL, from one of those "dumb enough" to send back the application ... I emplore you to think of where we come from.  We are unemployed, many for quite some time, we may be older and competing with people half our age, but we have faith ... so if that makes us "dumb" in your eyes, please keep such things to yourself. Put yourself in our shoes ... being dumb has nothing to do with the belief in this job ... but moreso with the desperateness of the times we live in ...

Yes, I believe they are reading your strokes when you computer boots up.  I couldn't get rid of the time tracker and have had to have my computer fixed by a tech who I trust.  Be very mindful of this ... they are still sending me emails which I send to spam, so they do NOT give up easy.  But, when my tech friend fixed my machine, he himself was surprised at the extent they went to.

Good luck to you.  I will say one thing ... if you boot your machine, and the time tracker comes up when you are or have tried to uninstall it, this is what I was told to break their hold .... take computer offline using WFii button ... open notepad and type 12345 ... leave open!!!  Go to start button and tell to shut down BUT DO NOT CLOSE NOTEPAD.  It will keep the computer from a total shutdown, closing out other software INCLUDING time tracker ... AFTER 10 minutes, CANCEL the notepad (box that opened).  Then the software is NOT running while you are on your computer.  Flip WFii button to go back online.  After that my advice to you is to go to your Tech and have him/her clean the machine.  They keep calling me using redirected calls.  I had software to track their opening of MY emails.  They were opened in Germany and the UK respectively ...

If you want to save your personal info and your computer ... get away as fast as you can from these thieves.  Good Luck to all...

I receive the same e-mail. Went ahead and applied for it because I really needed extra cash. Receive the first task. Also talk to a person over the phone. Completed the first task and after a week they confirmed that the first task was finished and the client was very happy they gave me a second task. I e-mailed them back & said, that hoping that they are good company and I am really working hard for them because I need the extra money because my son is having a heart surgery. They didnt reply but i went ahead and finished the second task and when I completed it. I was e-mailing it to them but everything bounce back or were undelivered saying there is no such e-mail. Went to their website www.acpav.com but server cannot be found. Now researching it and I end up to this page. Hope lost to get extra cash and created more problems on how to get rid of the program I installed in my PC (which is extra money cost) This is such a cruel situation. Now wondering what info they got in my PC. :,(

I did open the email, researched the Austin Group, took me too a website that really looked legitimate.  Even downloaded the timeclock for keeping time, did research for an artist.  All seemed on the up and up, until the emails started coming back about transferring money from my account to someone in Russia.  Money laundering scheme...though quite elaborate..even in working on the assignments given.  Now the website is down completely.  Again, too good to be true, and a wasted 8.0 hours of my time that I will never get back.

After finally uninstalling time tracker, and not responding to their last email about either again trying to contact Russian artist(first task) to try to get information about how "client" could directly wire money into his account, or go ahead with them transferring money into my account with a bonus; thought they had given up on me and I was in the clear, after a full day;  "Antony Allone" just sent me a more demanding email about downloading their direct deposit form and transferring money.
No they don't give up easily.  Have stated if they contact me again, I will report it to this state's attorney general.  Regret, I was taken in by this sophisticated scam.

Here is my last encounter with this creep. It is interesting, I have read one page of these complaints, and everyone has stated a piece of what happened to me. Can't we do something legally about this guy. I think I may have been able to get the file off my computer. Just did a restart so we will see. My web cam would also start voluntarily. I also recieved a second task but by then I was already onto him. I am very aware of the fact that people are looking for easy money. And most at home jobs are a scam of some sort.
So I was already on the look out. I was just hopin that this one was legit.

    Hi ,
I would like to clarify a few things, before we move forward with your employment. This is every important, and you have to confirm you understand everything so we don’t have any issues in the future.
You are hired as a part time personal assistant to our clients. Sometimes you will need to find something over the internet, sometime do something real. Or you were under the impression you will be paid $2,000 a month for sitting in front of your PC and Research / Collect information?
Now, in regards to this specific task – it’s from our existing VIP Corporate client. They purchase tons of souvenirs and stuff like that with our help, and have been using our services for over a year.
They are used to pay for everything online with their corporate US account. It’s a corporation. They do not waste their time of going to western union, communication with the artist, send to who, when, where, OK? They won’t be doing something they can par for, you know these VIPs. That’s what they have assistants for.
What you actually did is suggested our client or me do your work, what you are paid for. It’s your task, not mine. My task is to prove feedback based on your results. Yes, we do not send company cards to people on the trial period, only upon completion, once we sign up a longer term contract with you.
If you can – get account from the art gallery. If no – set up a new savings or checking account, or provide with existing one. There is nothing complicated. It will take you 30 minutes to make it to any bank and set up an account. You can keep it for future salary deposits from us, or close upon completion. You may even get someone else’s account. It is clearly specified in the contract and the employment confirmation - if there is something you have to buy during your trial period (before you are sent a company card), they money will be sent you prior making the purchase. This is the case. It’s a normal procedure. Our client is paying for it.
    •    Anyhow, if you want to continue working with us I would appreciate your desire to complete this project. Our client pays $300 for this routine only (one day). I am sure this is a great bonus for 1-2 hours of work. If it takes some $$$ to set up a new account – let me know, this costs could be reimbursed as with this payment as well.
    •    Your account number will be stored securely on our server and only client will access this information if you are worried about this. However, it’s not SSN or something personal, so there is nothing to worry about. This information is required to put money into your account.
According to the contract and your schedule, you have 2-3 hours a day. So go to the bank now to set up any checking or savings account. It will take you 30 minutes. So if you do not set up an account today I take as you do not perform your duties. If it takes some $$$ to set up account – let me know this amount will be reimbursed with the next payment.

You will find your direct deposit on this page (I uploaded it for you):

    Best Regards, Antony Allone

I am sorry but I have not signed or seen any paper work or anything with confirmation that this is a real job and not a scam. I was going along with this hoping that it was real. But I am not going to just give up my account information without real paper work and a W2 form. So unless you plan on making me a permanent employee and sending some real documentation I will not be filling out that form. There are too many scams and lazy people just trying to use other peoples money. I am not trying to have anyone do my job for me. If it is normal for them to send money electronically then they should know how to send it with no problem. There Is still the option of money gram. I don't appreciate the way you have spoken to me. You should have some kind of respect and understand for the kind of business you are in. Or is it that this really is a scam? Not sure but the way you are speaking convinces me to the latter.

    Have a good day Sir.

Ok so I was a sucker and sent them back my information and I downloaded the time tracker tool.  I actually spoke with a man on the phone for a little less than a minute about my supposed "task" so I wasn't too suspicious of anything. I also had applied for jobs on monster. Does anyone know how to remove the time tracker tool?

    AZ Tech
Hello everyone. I received this erroneous email as well. Being a pc tech i was perhaps more suspicious than most. If you are on a PC (not a mac) and wish to remove the application system restore (as previously mentioned) is probably a good route. Otherwise i would recommend booting into safe mode and cleaning it out. You can get to safe mode by pushing F5 when the computer boots up just before the windows splash logo screen. F8 will also get you into safe mode, via some boot up options. If you use F8 choose "safe mode with no networking".

Another option to get into safe mode is to click the start button and run "msconfig" from the run or search box. A window that says "system configuration" should come up. Click on the "boot" tab, and tick the safe boot option.

Once in Safe mode uninstall the program, or perform the system restore from there. Once finished run msconfig again and un-tick the safe boot option. Hope this has helped!
