Caller said he Mr. Cage with Hearshey and Kemp and wanted to talk to the Human Resource dept. at my job to verify my employment.  He was told they do not do that with out the employees approval and that they do not accept personal calls.  He gave the return phone number of 512-501-2248 Ext. 3011. in reference to a legal matter and that he was attorney.

Got a call yesterday from a man that called himself Steve Grevis. He asked to speak with my husband.  I told him my husband wasn't home and asked if i could take a message.  He said he was with the Hershey & Kemp Law Firm and left a 877-787-4717 # for my husband to call back.  I tried to ask him what the call was about and he wouldn't tell me.  He then asked me when i would give the message to my husband.  I replied with as soon as he gets home.  The name then asked when he would be home.  I told him I didn't know and that when he got home I would give him the message.  He then proceded to tell me and i quote "YOU NEED TO GO HANG YOURSELF WITH A CYPRESS TREE IN TEXAS."  I found his comment to be highly offensive and racially motivated.  Before I could say anything he hung up the phone.  I called the # back to talk to his boss to let them know what kind of people they have working for them and that I was highly offended.  I was called a liar and told I must have the wrong #.  I called the 800# back and got the guy on the phone again.  Just to confirm for myself that I had the right #.  This Steve guy then told me I must be off my medication and needed to get back on it and that if he saw my number on his call log again he would file criminal harrassment charges against me.  I had a friend call back to try and get these guys address.  My friend called pretending to try and set up payment arrangements and needed the address where to send payment and was told they couldn't give out a mailing address or physical address.  I think this is all very shady.  This peopl are obviously racists and i wonder if they are trying to steal peoples information in order to fund some act of terriosm.  I must say I'm a white woman and the fact someone would tell me to go hang myself to be highly highly racially motivated. I tried hours yesterday trying to get an address on these people.  Whoever they are they need to be found and they need to be placed in jail.  I hope someone can get there address sometime.  I plan on filing a complaint with the OCCC but i don't know who much good it will do since i don't really know where they are.

I also got a call. DO NOT give them any information there full of it! They can't legally do anything there just trying to collect money but try to scare you into paying.

I get this call this morning and he asked for me and he told me I bounced a check and the his client want to settle this out of court for 787.51 since I had bounced for 1400.00 and I told him I haven't bounced any check in my life then changed the story and said that it was for a loan and I told me it was a loan called CashNet and told me that I do not take any loan from that place and said that he had all my information and I hang up then he called back and left message for my husband for him at a 877 number this is scam

I got several calls from these numbers with no messages left till this evening. The message left was from some man using no last name calling me by my maiden name and said they were calling regarding a civil complaint that was being filed against in me in my county. I was afraid and couldn't find anything online about this "Hershey & Kemp" law office but my husband encouraged me to call. I got no answer.....went straight to a voicemail that apparently several people share. After reading the other comments I'm sure that this is probably some feeble attempt to collect information or money from us....won't be following up and I do not encourage others to call back....unless they know that they have done something that warrants the call!

today is my day off and my boss called said i man by the name of andrew from hearshe camp funny right left this number 512-501-2240 said he was wanting to talk to me about a recent loan application or something i havent filled out for a loan in over a yr anyways called the number bac just got a voice mail for a bunch of people be careful with losers like that

i got a phone call today from these people called hearshe camp at number 512-501-2240 asking for my wife.i said i am her husband can i help you.she said no i can only speak to her about a mistake on a credit card.i said wait a minute we dont have any credit cards.she just argued with me that she has a credit card and i need to speak with her about payment arrangments.i told her you are not speaking to nobody til you tell me what credit card company it was cause you called me.she just told me to right the number down and have my wife call her back.
now i have been married to my wife for nine years and we have not had any credit cards in several years.i dont know whats going on but something is not right.

I received a call today from this number. I called back and they said "a transaction had not cleared and do I know a Tamika Thompson". I said I did not and she said I was listed as a first cousin. I got mad first because I am sick of getting calls looking for other people with my last name, and said I had never heard of her and do not call again.

I got this call as well...I knew that I owed the company but have been getting the run around because my account has been sold to so many places within a period of a few months.  In the middle of my search (2 months ago), I get a call about this matter...I set up arrangements (stupid me) AND asked for something to be mailed to me concerning the debt (which had pretty much doubled).  What I received in the mail was a receipt of our conversation and my set up of payments.  I let it go and continued to clear this debt.  I then get a call 3 weeks after my first payment had cleared to say that I was going to the "legal department" because they never received payment.  I said that I have bank proof and I needed an explaination.  Well, I was told I would get a call back...of course no one called.  I figured something was fishy.  During this time, I called and kept being told that someone would "get back to me."  Then another debit came out of my account a week before it was authorized which caused me to get a charge from my bank.  That was my 2nd and last red flag.  I filed a complaint with the FTC, and read up on my rights as a consumer on the Texas Attorney General's web page.  I also contacted my bank and let them know what was going on...sad thing is that they have heard of this company!  Thankfully they refunded my money.  I just got a call today asking for payment because I'm in the "legal status."  Don't be fooled.

I hab been getting a lot of called from this #. I will like to know how do they get my information, please help to stop this can of people doing this.

I am so glad a friend told me how to Google a number and I can see result about that particular number and on Friday I received a call from Anthony Blackwell stating I bounced a check from Washington Mutual in September 2004 for 815.55 when I call back to check that out because after having 13 brain surgeries I couldn't remember if I had an account with Washington Mutual or not but it came clear to me to do some research when I call back of course Mr. Blackwell wasn't available and I spoke with Janie Durant asking for her extension number and she wasn't available so I ask them to fax that information to me so I can check my records and a gentleman told be a lawyer said that they couldn't give me that information by phone and I would have to talk to a judge in court but this same thing happen to me a few months ago and when I was told that anytime somebody is going to sue you it has to be in writing  so I'll just wait and see if I receive something I the mail.

I received a call from this #..they said it was a legal matter and that I needed to call a jamie durant back wen I called I got a guy saying his name was kenneth sledge and he was a lawyer .he said I owed a debt to cash.net from 2003 n if I didn't pay 782.00 then I'd go to jail for a felony. I proceeded to ask him questions bout the account and he said he couldn't release any info unless I sent a partial payment of 300 the more. I questioned him the angrier he got. I told him I didn't have money and he proceeded to tell me I had 2 days to sleep on it ? My question is ..is this a scam?

I got a call from this number at a friends house looking for me. It was Janie Durant saying they were going to sue me. I was like WTF? If someone is going to sue you they do it. They find you and they serve you papers. This is BS. I live in Texas and in Texas you cant go to jail for debt. I am not calling them back. I dont want them to have my number. I thought about calling them with my google voip number but it is a waist of time. As far as I am concerned I they are the ones who need to go to jail. Sick people if you ask me. Who would do that

I received a call from this company about a payday loan I had and hadn't paid on (it was from 3 years ago and I forgot about it). The guy said that I would go to criminal court over this if it wasn't paid. Uh don't think so....it's a small claim court thing. He also gave me the wrong company information as to who I owed the money to. He also refused to send me information in regards to what I owe until I paid them something. Do not do any business with someone until they give you something in writing. I don't deny the money I owe, but I don't do business with companies like this.

My father in law (who lives out of town) and my mother (who just moved back from Minnesota) received calls from a Kenneth Sledge asking for me and mentioned something about a court summons and that they had my personal information and work history and that I needed to contact him immediately! Well, if they really had my personal information, wouldn't they have my address, duh!!! Luckily, my parents know that I pay my bills and know that I don't owe anyone like these losers, so they didn't give any information.

Any ways, I googled the number and sure enough, its some sort of collection agency using scare tactics to get you to pay money that you may or may not owe, so do not give them information or send them money.  I figured since it's tax time, they know people are coming into cash and they're trying any which way they can to get  your money. DO NOT GIVE or set up any payments, because even if you think you may have had a loan a long time ago, they'll take more than you really owed!!!!  Be careful, people, b/c there are lots of desparate scammers out there that would rather take your money then get a real job!!!!

I received a message on my work phone stating that they are going file a case against me in the state of Texas for a payday loan that I have over 5 years ago. I called back only to be transferred to a guy named Mr. Cooper. He stated that they were going to take me to court for 795.77 but they will settle out of court for 595.77. I called back to inquire a little more about this claim and the gut that I spoke with gave me inaqurate information about my bank and employer.

Got the same call today from a Janie Durant and they called my job and my mother. They said it was a legal matter and they had a case number. A bunch of bs!!!! They don't have anything better to do but waste people's time and try to scam them.

I got a call from this number 512-501-2240 from a Stanly Sims saying I had a bad check out there in the state of Texas.

Not sure what he is talking about but not sure if I should call him back if this is a scam. I have not written any checks in probley 3 yrs. My son and daughter told me not to call them back and if I do then don't give them any information.

My mom AND my best friend both recieved call from Hearshey and Kemp (Kenneth Sledge and Stanley Sims) claiming I wrote a bad check and something about a payday loan from back in 2007.  

They had my mom in a panic because they gave out some Florida statute numbers and a supposed case number and said they are going to court on Wednesday to charge me with pergery and illegal money laundering....fraud type charges.....WTF!

The number they called from was 305-356-6736, I didn't even live in Florida when they "allege" I wrote a bad check in addition, the account they said I wrote the bad check from I closed in 2009 because I paid off the car I had financed with them and they had NO indications of a bad check.

They are about to get a very angry phone call when they open today!!!!
