I got called this morning.  Called me by my first name like she was my friend calling.

Told her I was on the do not call list and I wasn't interested in investing in their oil well.   She continued to try to sell me this stuff..   Had to hang up on her.   Placed a complaint with Donot Not Call..

Also BBB accreditation revoked on 2/10/2011:

Someone called me and acted as if they knew me. Then they proceeded to insult me when I told them that I was not interested in what they had to sale. The last thing they said was "go ahead and hang up the phone if that will give you a sense of superiority" as I was hanging up the phone and I told them to grow up.

I received a phone call, caller ID = Unknown! Said they had an oil drilling investment, that could make me 3X or more on my $38,000 investment. Since I was already invested in the industry, but only in publicly traded stocks or MLPs. I asked for a web site to check them out & the info was very sketchy. No officers or financial data was included on web site: www.texog.com. Only a few press releases attributed to PR Newswire gave any details.
Sounds like an unlicensed telemarketing scam, DON'T INVEST ANY MONEY.
Requested more details on the investment & they eagerly sent me details via FEDEX.

We received calls from this number about buying oil well drilling shares. They sent a package Fed Ex and then called back the next day. We kept trying to tell them we would look at the package and make our own decision, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. Finally, after 35 minutes of trying to get them off the phone nicely, a man told my wife she was being rude and that we had the money to invest and started getting very nasty. She said, "I'm hanging up now" and did. These people are extremely pushy, rude, and obnoxious.

Called today, calling me by name.  I told them to take me off their list and to not call again.  They said OK and we both hung up.  I guess I'll see if they call back.

Yes, I got a call from Tap Management too. I actually took the time to research their company and saw their credentials into the oil and natural gas field. I took the investment opportunity and was well benefited from the opportunity. I can't believe how you all are describing these people and calling them a scam. Take the time to research instead of blindly calling them another scam!

The fact that someone had my personal information and was trying to use it to sell me something over the phone was what put me on alert. Regardless of whether or not its a valid investment opportunity, they should not have access to certain data, and they need to abide by the do not call laws that are in place. The person that called me basically recited my name, address and net worth! And they wonder why people react the way they do....

Caller asks for my husband by his first name.  I respond with "May I say who is calling please?"  Someone with TAP Management.  Put him on hold.  Ask husband if he knows who this is and does he want to talk to him.  No.  Tell him husband is on other line and not available.  Ask if I can take message.  Says he will call back.  Well, now we know who YOU are you telemarketer you.

They found me in San Diego. Overnighted the package and I reviewed it. A very professional presentation. Then the hard sell.  I've seen boiler rooms in operation and this is definitely one. DO NOT take their call.

Obviously they want you to know who they are or they would not say their companies name. Learn how to structure a sentence if your going to write a review on a company.

These guys called me 4 or 5 times before I agreed to look at their packages.  They overnighted an envelope to which I spent about 2 hours reading through the material.  Needless to say, I was less then impressed.  They illustrate a lot of "return scenarios" which aren't even within the realm of reason.  Ficticous beyond any doubt.  The realistic high side case was 17% not 300%.  Their management bio's were lacking in description of specific industry expertise.  Their success rate, or should I say their failure rate - quite high.  Very few of their projects have returned anything to their investors other then a tax loss.  Most of their "success stories" have only returned a paltry few thousand dollars.  Their management has barely any of their own money on the line.  They can call for additional capital at any time, etc, etc.  It's a money raising scheme and not much more.  When I tried to tell them I wasn't interested after reviewing the materials, the guy starts yelling at me.  I tell him the conversation is over.  He says, well then hang up on me.  Ok, I do.  30 minutes later his boss calls me back.  I tell him I'm not interested.  He asks why, I start telling him the reasons, and he starts yelling at me too - "You don't have the balls to make the investment."  Sorry, but this isn't an "investment".  GOODBYE!  Don't waste your time.
