Got a text about a cl ad it looks like someone fishing we will see. a lot of spam out there.

ive been contacted today by this guy too, im trying to figure out whats going on with him

yes, I too got a text from this number re: my cl ad.

i got the same text and almost fell for it. its a texas number.. he mailed me a check and im turning it over to the athorities, he wants me to cash the check (which is fake) at MY bank and wire money to a shipper. i saved all the text and have the check here.... Hopefully we can stop this POS!

Here is this guy's deal. He sends you a message in reguards to a Craigslist post, requesting your name and address. He issues a check from a fraudulent account which is closed. The business on the check is legit and so is the bank. If you call the bank, they will tell you to turn the check into the police. The bank on my check is S&T Bank Branch
1077 Freeport Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 and the company name on the check is SQUAW RUN LP 811 BOYD AVE, STE 106, PITTSBURGH,  PA  15238.

He wants you to deposit the check into your bank and withdraw all but your payment and a transaction fee. Then you are to wire the money to Greg Beaver 635 Forster St., Harrisburg, PA 17120.

If you receive anything from this guy, turn it into your local police.
