I answered,but there was noone there.

Just received a call from this number.  Woman stated she was calling from "Best Buy".  She had a heavy Asian accent, and I could hear other people talking in the background from what sounded like a calling center.  I told her never to call me again, and hung up.

I just got a call on my cell from this number 40 min ago.  I didn't pick up, and they didn't leave a message.

Called to state we had won a promotion.

They just called my cell phone saying my phone number was selected and I won the free home make over . The lady has a very strong Indian accent . Asked bunch of questions then transfer me to their manager .. then I hung up . Does not sound real .

Just got a call from a man saying he was from Direct Buy and that I won a promotion. Background was very noisy and he had an accent. Saying he was from right here in Austin, TX. Told him to take me off the list and do not call again. We'll see...

I didn't answer, they left no message.  Now blocked.

Received a call from 512-672-8698. Did not answer. Caller left a message. When I listened to the message all it said was "good bye". Sounded like a computer generated voice. Blocked the number.

Called and said they were from Direct Buy. Woman with accent and telemarketing noise in the background.

Just got a call from this #, all I got was auto voice that said "good bye"

Just got a phone call from #. Did not answer, left auto msg "good bye". # blocked.

Got a call from this number Asian lady with people talking in the backround. She said we had a chance to win money or a getaway, I told her i was going to pass the phone over to my husband since I couldn't understand her well and she hung up.

Called my cell phone and didn't leave a message.  Thanks for the prior post so I know not to answer in the future.  Not sure how they got my cell number when I don't give it out since I have a land line phone at my home.

I called the number from my land line at work. As other posters here say, what sounded like "direct buy" or "best buy" and what sounded like an asian or filipian woman. Stating I was eligible for a contest or had been selected. I told her I was not interested and as I started to say that she started to what sounded like, talk over me. I told her not to call again, and after the call I added the number to my reject list.

same as other posters: several missed calls and when I answered one today there was a lot of talking in the background and an Asian woman on the phone telling me my number had been randomly selected as a semi-finalist for a contest "in your area" with Direct Buy to win 50K and a cruise.  Some how she knew my mother's name.  Very concerning. I asked her not to call me again and she started to say something like "what, you don't like winning free..." I hung up.  

Same as everyone else. Received a call. Answered, recorded message said "Good bye" and hung up. I called back, they said "Hello". No formal greeting or anything. I believe it was an Indian male, could be wrong. He said my number won money for a home make-over. I think he told me $25k. I immediately hung up on him. Seems that this has happened frequently this week, based on everyone's reports starting on March 16th.

They called early in the morning.  I answered and nobody responded - even gave them 10 seconds to do so.  Block this number.  

DirectBuy. These guys are lying scammers. Don't fall for their lies.

They called my cell phone, which is on the Do Not Call list, and did not leave a message.
