This is the second call of this nature.  The fist came from TX FOP FOUND.  The guy asked my husband, "hey, hey are you ready to give up some money today.  You've got to help the texas state troopers."  We have given to the TSTA before and they are very professional.  This was obviously a scam. We're very offended.

The person from this number wanted support for the FOP.  My husband told him that he was very familiar with the FOP and started asking the caller questions.  My husband requested that our name be taken off of the list, but that was two weeks ago.  WE have received calls since that time.  What can we do?

Caller asked for my husband by name... and hang up when I said he wasn't available.

will not leave voice mail.  When called back person can not come to phone leave message.  Then told that the mail box can not except anymore messages.

Fraternal Order of Police scam. They usually will call you first with some 800 numbers, then call with Austin, Texas based number mentioned here. They are actual organization, but actual scammer organization. If you donate, majority of the money goes not to Texas' fallen peace officers but those these clowns to continue running their 'call centers' however. Can't believe they still around scamming people in 2009, same scammers used to operate under umbrella as 'charity organization' back in 1990s!

Hubby answered phone.  I work nights and was sleeping.  A man asked for me by my first name.  Second call.....said hello, hello, hello, like he couldn't hear

This call in about 8:38pm very short ring and hung up. Redial and voice mail full.

Nusiance call.  Definitely a scam in waiting.

Received a call from this number everyday for the last 2 weeks.  They're looking for a Shelley Woodring.  I've had this number for 3 years and now all of a sudden when you do a reverse on my telephone number, her name as well as mine shows up on online white pages.  I've asked these people repeatedly to remove my number from their system and continuously call as late as 10:00 pm and it's very aggravating!

I have been receiving phone calls on a regular basis from this toll free number and they never leave a message. I was able to call back once and was placed in a call center where the woman said that they were with the FOFP but she had no information other than that and that someone would have to call me back. I missed several other calls from this number and then today received a call from the Austin number that is showing up as unlisted. I found this website and am concerned that this is a scam.

Called, but didn't leave message.  I ask myself WHY ANYONE would want to donate to any LEO?  Esp these idiots?  Only so they can turn around and give you a ticket?
That's INSANE!!!
