The FCC has no law enforcement powers, it is a regulatory agency only.  The FTC and the DOJ have the law enforcement powers.

The Do Not Call List is a complete joke!  If I had a dollar for every caller soliciting a donation or wanting something, I would be a millionaire!

Which reply do you prefer?  Which one do you understand?
A reasonable answer (such as mine)?A typical internet answer?
The Do Not Call list is NOT a call blocker.
The DNCL is used by honest / registered telemarketers to avoid calling folks who do not want to be called. Charities, political calls, and NON sales calls are exempt.  Criminals ignore the DNCL. Obtain a call blocking device or app, and protect yourself from repeated spam / scam phone calls.  Call blockers work, when used correctly.

Use your favorite search engine to find one.

There are apps (some free) for smartphones, devices for landlines, and even phones with call blocking capability.  Owners of "feature phones" can set up a "group", with a silent ringtone, and assign spammer phone numbers to that group.
You are an idiot, since you think the Do Not Call list is supposed to be a magic switch, that blocks all calls you do not want. The truth is, the DNCL works, but your brain does not.
Stop blaming others for YOUR mental deficiencies! How about buying a clue, and getting a real call blocker.  Can't you spell "call blocker", or don't you know how to search for one?

It is obvious that you are incapable of understanding the words on the various Federal Do Not Call info pages, since you are blathering about things that you have absolutely no real knowledge of.

As long as they're getting any kind of an answer, they're likely to keep calling you, that's the reason they're doing it. They get nothing from your number enough times, it gives you a good chance of discouraging them enough to give up on you.

This number: 512-717-9560 along with 512-717-9236, 512-717-9276, 512-717-9394, 512-717-9429, 512-717-9565, may or may not be a SCAM, but they do perpetrate a pattern of harassment.  You are not going to stop these types of calls, however, those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will receive more of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid which assures more calls of these 'faux telemarketer calls'.  (I call them faux telemarketer calls as they are generally not legitimate telemarketers, but simply scams!)  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a real person may be there on the follow up calls.
If you have the capability to ‘BLOCK’ the number that called – that is the best action.  Since 2010 I have logged and currently block nearly 600 of these nuisance calls.
If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously.  This will reduce the number of nuisance calls, but not stop them.
If you really want to block them – in addition to a number of cordless phones available there is software that a layman can install.  Of the over 500 calls I’ve blocked, I've only added 16 over the last 3 months.  (Most of those are from a new series of numbers that were not previously blocked)
So the message is simple – blocking works….  Using the aforementioned processes I seldom have a second call from a given number.  But, when I do - I love it when "Number Blocked" shows on my 'Caller ID!!!  (When they call repeatedly it causes me to wonder about how stupid some of these dummies really are!)
Additionally;  The Area Code, Exchange or even the entire number displayed on your caller ID probably does not accurately reflect the origin of a call as many of these crooks use software that disguises the originating number.  (I've actually seen numbers reflecting my own Area Code and Exchange)
PS:  I think Call Notes should add a 'Call Type' for 'Spoof' or 'Scammer Calls'!
