Call came in on call-waiting. I paused my other call and flashed to this but got no answer to my "Hello".  Later found that they'd left a message "call our office at ..." with no explanation.
I'm glad I checked with this site before -- now, instead of -- calling back.
Sometimes I like to screw around with these a**h*l*s, but today I've got better things to do.

Same thing. Listened to VM with woman's electronic voice saying the IRS was going to file a lawsuit & call the office number she provided. Same number was in caller ID that read 'Bastrop, TX. Called back & was busy. Called a few minutes later & it rang about 20 times. Answered by a male whose accent was so thick that I couldn't understand him! Kept asking for his name & the office I'm calling. He kept saying I was breaking up & couldn't understand me. I raised my voice asking for name, office & nature of business. He hung up!

Same thing.  IRS is filing a lawsuit against me.  I called the number to tell them to go to hell.  The phone was answered by a man saying "IRS."  I said that we both knew he wasn't the IRS so why was he pretending to be.  He said he knew it was a bad job but he had a family to support.  I told  him it wasn't a bad job - It was in fact a crime.  He asked me to pray for him.  I think not, but it was an interesting comment.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Have received 3 calls from 512-772-4429 stating that the IRS is suing me and I need to call them back immediately. I have not and will not call them back. Ironically I am working with an organization who is representing me with the IRS and have reported them to my representative working on my behalf. This is a scam and I am sure if I called them back and let them know this information I wold be speaking to someone overseas who does NOT work for the IRS and would not be speaking English to me. Please locate these people and lock them up!!
