They called me asking for my debit card #. I hung up.

I am the owner of this business and we happen to be one of the millions spam victims.

I'm well aware of this "Phone Masking Scam".

Speaking on my behave, I and Nuvani Institute do not support nor have ever or is capable of spamming calls. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SPAM.

I believe a VOIP phone system is used to simultaneously call two people, if either picks up, it will go to several places:

1) prerecorded "error on your debit care" to fish your information
2) the other parties' voice mail
3) the other party (which usually is pissed because they thought you called them).

512-782-4939 is Nuvani Institute and we operate two beauty schools in Austin, Texas. We don't have time to put up with the SPAM people. We have reported this to the Austin Police Department and ask anyone reading this to thoroughly do your research on practically all zip, because it is a nation wide epedemic that is impossible to stop due to the technology (i think? otherwise it would have been eliminated by now).

I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, such as 512-782-4949.  I've received two calls from this number so decided to try to find out who it is.  It's annoying that scammers have my personal cell phone number.  I'm extremely careful of this number and only give it out when I have to.  There should be a way to stop this.

This just happened to me tonight from your phone number.  What are the police doing about this and what is going to be done?
