Multiple phone calls from this number that I did not answer. Reverse look-up lists it as a possible scam. Caveat emptor.

they called , I answered, i said hello a few times, no one spoke and then some noise and then they hung up

Called, I said hello, she said "Yeah" (as if speaking to someone else), hung up

Sounded like a Hispanic woman...told me that she understands I'm looking for cheaper cable. When I said no, then she asked about phone and internet. She hung up when I told her I have all those services. Seems like the DNC list does absolutely nothing to prevent these calls.

"Seems like the DNC list does absolutely nothing to prevent these calls."  Nor do speed limit signs prevent speeding. Levels of enforcement are about the same too.

Maybe that's because the DNC list is NOT a magic call-stopping switch and criminals aren't going to follow the laws anyways

These pieces of scum cold-called my cell (which has always been on both the State and Federal no-call list).  They are trying to sell home TV, internet and phone.  I asked what company she represented.  She said they were called "Cable Services" and sold "all major providers".  Since I had never heard of them, I asked her if her records showed that we had done business before.  At that point she hung up on me.  I tried calling them back.  I got their voice mail maze.  I pressed 1 to "be connected to a customer service representative".  Their system hung up.   Clearly they are a fraudulent company designed only to extract money from you.  They are on my phone reject list.  No point at all reporting this type of scam to either the State or Federal authorities.  Those agencies are completely toothless and do absolutely nothing.

No sound when I said hello a couple of times. Wish these scammers would stop. On top of being annoying they're bloody stupid to think this stuff works on people these days.

I usually don't answer unknown numbers on my cell, but I'm expecting a Time Warner Cable service rep today to fix slow internet issue, so I answered. Interestingly, the person who finally responded to my "hello?"s said she was calling about my internet connection. (I should have known when she didn't ask to speak to me by name or identify that she was with TWC.)  I said, "Yes?" and then she started talking about an offer for cheaper internet rates. Again, she did not identify which company she was calling from, so I said, "Thanks, I'm happy with my internet service, good bye!" and hung up.
I'll be adding this one to my auto-block list.  Y'all out there talking about the DNC list should give up on that dream. Get rid of your land-line and go cell only, and then just add these numbers to your auto-block list. Works like a charm!

They called and since I don't recognize the number, I know that any legitimate company will leave you a voice mail. No voice mail, so I come here right away and what do you know, everyone is reporting just what I know, it's a rip off phone call. I'll be blocking it. Thanks for everyone's help.

We just moved, and the day after my phone and internet service was installed, I received this call.  The woman said she was calling about Direct TV

Got 2 calls from this number after I had contacted my dish provider.  I didn't answer and they left no message.

I called DirectTV 5 days ago and spoke with a rep to resolve an issue. I have a different phone number on file with them than the one I called them from so when the rep asked for the number I was calling from I gave it to her. Interestingly, 5 days later I receive a call from (512)806-7655, a number I don't recognize that supposedly is a solicitor for cable and Internet services. However, I was unable to answer and the caller did not leave a voicemail so I cannot confirm that is why they called. I'm not saying DirectTV provided a potential solicitor with my phone number but I'm not ruling it out as a possibility.

I received a call from 512-806-7655. I answer and the lady on the phone was trying to sell me internet,cable for a much lower price than anyone else.  I told her I was happy with my service and hung up.  I am on DNC list and just disconnected my Direct T.V. Friday.  I wonder if other company's get this information.

Woman asked me something about subscribing to DirectTv. I told her i was on the do not call list and asked her name and she hung up.

This person called my work number, paused when i answered and then hung up. I also got no less than 15 calls in 2 hours someone calling telling me they were with Direct TV and wanted to offer me some specials. I talked to DirectTV and they said they would never call to offer this and it was a scam.

Whenever I answer, they claim they are trying to sell me "male enhancement product".
