I got a phone call from this number threatening me about litigation and that I had 30 minutes to call back.  Then he wished me good luck.  The caller was threatening and very rude.  He never even stated what company he was calling for.

My brother received a phone call from this number. The caller stated there were felony fraud charges against me. The caller wouldn't reveal any other details to my brother. I am not a felon but this company and/or debt collector is the one using fraudulent tactics

I just received a call from Steven Clinton on my daughters phone stating that I had felony fraud charges against me. And that I would be put in jail for 90 days. If anyone receives a call from this debt collector be aware that a debt collector can not threaten you especially in the State of Texas. Be aware!

Called my daughter-in-law now she is all upset that they are going to arrest me.  I told her that this is some kind of scam.  They then called her back and said I  was being arrested today, because I was rude to them.  Called my attorney and he is filing with the Texas Attorney General.  This is all terrible.  My address and other information that that they have on me  is not correct.

This guy named Steven Clinton called me & left voicemail that he was calling from the state of Texas. He wished me luck & said there was fraud charges against me & I had 30mins to call back. He then called my fiance & said he was looking for me & told him the same thing that he left on my voicemail. When my fiance asked where he was calling from he told him Austin Texas. Then my fiance's neice called & said this guy left a voicemail on her phone regarding me. The weird thing is is that she has my old cell phone # from about 8+ years ago.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

It's a scam. You cannot be arrested for debt, it's a civil matter, not a criminal matter. Go to ftc.gov and learn your rights under the FDCPA.

He just called me as well. But just said I needed to call him and good luck. Nothing about going to jail or being arrested, but he was smug.

The person was very rude and threatened me with legal actions.  They said charges  will be filed and warrant will be issued.  Did not elaborate on what charges and for what. This is not my debt, its my sister.  They also called my 80 year old  mother and rest of my family.  They did not identify them or company name.  The state of Texas should be doing more to rein these uneducated and unprofessional people.

Actually claimed to be a search firm representing positions in my field, but seemed way too flighty to be credible.  They wanted an email address and sounded like they had an older profile of me from somewhere.  I heard nothing further. Odd.

And perhaps if you weren't a lying shill who works for these FDCPA-violating criminals, you wouldn't have to come here and lie on the Internet.

People are being harassed for debts they do not owe, belong to someone else, were discharged in bankruptcy, have been paid or the SOL has expired...

    Thanks for playing.
