I am getting multiple calls a day from this number. I call it back and there is no greeting outside of saying they will record my call. Is this a bill collector?

Caller ID shows "Ohio" and 513-234-5408. We have received two calls from this number in the last couple of days (we don't answer and no message left on our voice mail). Call is now blocked.

I called this number back after missing the call.

The person on the other end said they're from the "Internal Revenue Corporation," and that they wanted to talk about "personal business" with me. He asked for my date of birth, and I refused to give it. Then he told me "nevermind, we have your date of birth, we just need to verify it."

I told him I wasn't going to verify anything.

He ended the call: "Okay, have a nice day."

Personally, I think this is one of those corps that scam people into thinking they're a government agency. "Internal Revenue Corporation" is conveniently close to Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and this company is likely trying to play on assumed authority by the callee.

Just received a call from this number, no voice message was left.

I'm sick and tired of this number calling - several times a day for MONTHS!!!  How did you block it?

Then, connect the dots.

This number has called for MONTHS - sometimes several times a day. Needless to say we DO NOT ANSWER but it is REALLY beginning to iritate me. How do you block them?

I found a link through Google that says this number is Navient, which is another name for Sallie Mae. This number has called several times. Neither my husband not I have any student loans and our kids are still in high school. Next time they call I'm going to pick up and see why the heck they are calling us.

I called back this number they said they were General Revenue Services about a personal business matter and wanted my name and address before they would tell me anything I spoke to Shaniqua who told me unless I would verify they would continue to call and hung up on me.  now they're going to get blocked.

Like Slim suggested two days ago, Google CALL BLOCKER and take it from there.

DON'T pick up. Doing so will validate your phone number for the scammer who is calling in the first place. The caller ID info is useless: that information is always fake when the caller is a scammer.

Ignore the calls, don't ever call back, get a call blocker if it gets out of hand.

I received 48 calls from this number over a two month period to my Google Voice number.  The calls always went to the spam folder.  Sometimes they left a robo-voice message that they were trying to collect a debt from a person who apparently used to have my number.  It is General Revenue Corporation.  I blocked this Ohio area code number and within 3 days started getting calls from a Binghamton, NY area code number(607-821-4179).  Same company, same robo-voice message.  I blocked this number.  Will see what happens next, I can play this game as long as they care to.  I refuse to return the call and speak with anyone there.

These are debt collection tactics under Department of Education. "General Revenue Corporation is a United States debt-recovery organization that specializes in the recovery of defaulted student loans and consumer loans. GRC is a SUBSIDIARY of SLM Corporation, commonly known as Sallie Mae" If you are receiving deceptive calls as relative, friend, or other stop talking to these criminals and send a Cease and Desist. Just got a call. ID said Mason Ohio. Didn't answer it.

I personally use an app called Mr. Number  (on Android). There are others in the app store.

This number just called me and told me they needed my dob. For verification purposes.I refused to give it to her and she send that I would find out the problem when the "cops" get a hold of me. Do not answer this number just block it
