called about 5 times today.  1st call was at 7:00 am.  last call was at 8:59 pm.

yeah i keep getting these calls too, and no vm is left.

Who is this!  THey keep calling & I have no clue & the idiots dont leave a VM with me either!!

They say they are GE Money.  Sounds more like a collection agency as they said "If you pay $49, the calls will stop for a month".  Here's the catch - there is a $15 fee to process your payment

This is from GE Money who for me services the JC Penney cards.  The only way to stop the calls is to pay your bill or they send it to a collection agency who will start to contact you.

GE Money handles a lot of different credit accounts, including Paypal Plus and Billmelater

I got the same thing about $49. I asked if that amount would come off of my bill and they said no, but the calls will stop.

2 calls today asking for my 90 year old incapacitated mother.
On 2nd call said he represents 'Old Navy' & could only speak to my mother, I explained that she was 90 & incapacitated but I have power of attorney & could handle any issue. He said he could only speak to her so I told him never to call back as she never answers the phone.

so now i know who these [***] are...i am behind on payments on a "paypal" credit card.  GE money bank funds the card.  Pricks call like 5 times a day..

They call at least 15 times a day--starting on weekenda at 8;15

I called them back today, had a great time! You can get these guys to stop calling you by sending them a written notice saying you do not owe them anything. So, I called them and asked for a mailing address.. The guy wouldn't give it, so I told him I was recording the conversation. He absolutely freaked out and said he had to hang up on me because it was illegal for me to record him.

I told him in New Mexico it was legal as long as one or both participants knew they were being recorded. He tried being quiet for a long period of time, and I just laughed.

Finally, I told him that the call was noted due to him not being cooperative and that they would be hearing from my attorney. Check into your local laws, because I now have a great lawsuit for harassment.

They use fake caller ID codes and leave repeat phone calls with no messages; blatant violations of the FDCPA.  They're an independent collection agency - GE wouldn't be this stupid, though GE is arguably liable for the violations.  Run the calls through a third-party service like Google Voice so there's a third party record then, when there's a nice number of calls, contact a local attorney; not only is your debt likely to vanish but there's a good chance that GE ends up paying you.

I don't even want a land-line anymore. Apparently my mom has debt, but isn't it illegal to call so many times in a day? God damn it's annoying.

They called 3 different times throughout the day. Last call 8:50pm. Never leave a message so I wont pic up. Tried calling the # 2 times a message pops on thankyou for calling jen peck sevices please wait for the next available agent then the phone disconnects. What is this???????

constant calls and no message. I called back and they asked for name and acct. number. I told them I didn't know the acct number. They said to call back when I have the acct number.

You know what GE MONEY?! Calling 10 times a day and using a fake number doesn't make me want to cooperate with you. And to anyone who might say "pay your bill and it will stop" hey, I never thought I'd be in this mess, so it could be YOU someday. Lose your job tomorrow and a few months down the road you're in the same spot.

I thought it was a debt collector and I am in the process of checking my local laws. They call me every hour, every day. Before things went sour, I gave my cell # to some creditors. I know GE Money was one of them. They call my land phone followed by a call to my cell. This goes on until 9:30-10pm. I'm sure this is against the law. Anyway, I don't have any alternative to bankruptcy.
