Just got a call from this number and they were asking for whomever was in charge of my gas bill!

OH, USA and they were asking if I was responsible for Ohio Edison bill.
Fortunately I had a bad signal & asked for return call. No return call!!
I immediately googled # and found this posting..

9/28/2012   Got voicemail from CeCe.  Said they represented AEP calling about my Ohio Edison bill, I must call back 513-278-8357 x1763 urgently.

I have DoNotCall on the cell phone they called.
I have no biz relationship w/ AEP, and OhioEd does not have this number.
No way AEP would ask me to return a toll/LD call.

Clearly fraud. & misrepresentation wrt AEP, and a violation of DNC.
Scammers!

I received a call from this # telling me they can lower my electric bill. The call came from Bethel, OH. I talked to Clarence at ext 1002 and even talked to his supervisor, don't remember his name, but for 12 months I could lower my bill, but had to give them my Duke account # which I don't have the full # since I pay through my bank. I'm very leery about calls like this. I thought being on the do not call list would stop this.  I did not agree to this and will contact Duke Energy to see about legit programs.

I've gotten calls from 513-278-8357 & 313-355-5276 re my electric rate. I live in a small town that owns, operates, and bills me for all of my utilities; gas, electric, water, wastewater & stormwater. Our rates are the absolute lowest in the state. These people are idiots and will call repeatedly despite being told to stop.

If they call asking for your utility billing information DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM. Some of these clowns even go door to door asking to see your bill and misrepresenting who they work for. If the get access to it, they may try to slam you; change your current plan to theirs without your knowledge. If you have an older family member, make them aware because those seem to be the people they try to target.

They call and hang up when going to my answering device.  I never pick up due to the number of such calls even though I have put my number on the DNC list...  Another fine example of how well things Gov. based work!  :)

I keep getting a phone call from Bethel, Ohio 513-278-8357 everyday or every other day. they do not talk, hang up or even whisper a word. This is become harrasing! I hope they will be dealt with for mine and others sake.

I keep getting calls from this number, but they hang up as soon as my voicemail comes on.
