I received a voice mail on both my cell and office line from a man only identifying himself as "Michael McCoy". Never representing who he was calling on behalf of, only to say that he has "files that are pending due process with my name and identifying information" and that "I should not underestimate the importance of a return call"...

When I called the number back to speak with "Michael", he could not tell me who he represented other than "a network of attorneys for which he had been placed on retainer" by CT Investors (aka. Bahamas originated backing)
and that failing to settle would result in documents going through litigation...

Informed him that I have never done business with said entities and to not call me again.. I then received a call from an unknown number just moments later and the caller hung up as soon as I mentioned my name.

Smells like fraud to me!! :-)

I also received a call today with the same exact words today. I'm sure It's scam and after reading your comment I will have a nasty response waiting for him tomorrow if he calls me back. I work until 530 so I didn't get his call until after hours. Thanks for sharing because I was scared And though omg what did I do.

DON'T answer, or respond to this AH's calls, or you will be added to the 'sucker list', where you you will receive MORE calls from him, and other scammers, that he sells your number to!

Beware off this scam best thing do not answer the phone they are useing a spoof number . I hope more people report them.

*UPDATE*
Despite me clearly instructing "Mr. McCoy" to not call me again by cell nor work, I had yet another voice mail on my office line from Thursday.. They are seriously running off some extra chromosomes at this point. I may just call them for a direct address and send my harassment settlement.  Though, that would mean that they actually have a legit address, which I HIGHLY doubt. haha.
