These people do not give up! Calling from multiple different numbers..always the same spiel.."Urgent Call of Record..This is Catherine Bauer and I need you to call me back IMMEDIATELY." No reference to whom they are calling for or what is SO urgent. All I can say is SPAM SPAM SPAM...You all keep calling...I just keep blocking.

I just checked my voice mail, and she was on the other end leaving an EXTREMELY URGENT message for I don't know who. This is ridiculous. These calls are out of control.

I just got the same message. This is Catherine Ballard from hall of records. Call her back immediately.

I called them back from a different number using a different name and the woman would not give me any information. I pushed further and told her she was required to and she said "No I don't you are irrelevant to me" This is a scam. Block the number!

called stating have preceding about i made a payment with some company and it didnt go through and that is a felony she stated background was done and said bc i have no felony i have the right to try to resolve issue out of court then said phone was going down she would have to call me back

Total scam operation.  Claiming to be state attorney's office.  Ignore and block the calls.

This has been an ongoing extortion and shake-down racket since at least 2009.  No one knows where these people are located.  The name Catherine Bauer or Catherine Ballard occurs repeatedly.  Enter the names on the 800notes index page.  They call from a variety of different numbers.    The pretend to be "investigators" for some kind of check processing agency and threaten you with "warrants" for your arrest or say they are going to request the DA to file felony charges.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.  If you can find out where they are located.
