This number (513-370-2800) belongs to a collection agency by the name of Credit Bureau Collection Services, d.b.a. CBCS, a.k.a. CBCS Debt Resolution (Web: www.cbcsnational.com), they also use another number (937-528-2708) -- and I'm sure they're like all the other larger collection agencies and have an entire bank of local, long distance, and Toll Free telephone numbers that they regularly use to try to fool people into answering their calls.

I received a recorded call from this number on 11-10-11, 9:37 a.m.  No live person as usual, all modern technology wanting to know if this is so and so and if so to call a toll free number which I did not bother to call as I don't have a clue as to what they want or who they're trying to extract money for.  They did identify themselves as the previous posters as CBCS.  I'm not devoting time to these idiots as I have other issues to deal with.  Capitalism at its finest.  Thanks so much to you other posters to enlighten me on this caller.  One can always count on this fine web site to assist people. They called  informed me three times that I was on a recorded line. Ask me to confirm previous address , that they had on file. I asked him 3 times what tge Nature of the phone call was, he Never answered; so I hung up on him and blocked the Number. Is this a Scam?

You haven't given enough info to really figure out if it is a scam or not. The previous 2 posts are too old to factor them in as the same caller, so unless someone else provides info or you get another call, all we can do is guess.

Sounds like a debt collector who can't legally discuss the debt unless they have verified that they are talking to the alleged debtor.  Company name is now Revco.
