- Jaron| 4 repliesThey call in regards to your Duke energy bill trying to get you a discount. I believe it's a scam. They are not with Duke Energy.
- GJust got this call. Didn't identify who they were, just asked for the person in charge of the energy bill. When I told them they needed to give me a name of the person they were seeking, they gave some random name, then got mad and hung up.

I was quoted a price of 5.39 cents per kilowatt hour. The caller, Jay, was unaware of the agreement between the City of Cincinnati and First Energy, which offers 23% off Duke Energy's price to compare (6.07 cents per kilowatt hour), which is 4.67 cents per kilowatt hour. I have yet to speak with an electricity provider who can beat that price.- Caller: Sperian Energy

- HARRIETA call center just called our home and said he worked for Duke Campaign. Said he worked for Duke and was wanting to lower our rate. We was with some company called Becker that we just received a bill being higher than Duke. Then I wind up asking, "Are you promoting Sperian?" He said yes and not working for Duke. He lied in the beginning so husband signed up with Sperian. Has anyone seen a difference in there bill with it being lower than Duke or First Energy? Please give me your opinion.

- Mark LauseSecond call today from people to want to reduce our Duke Energy Bill. They want the particulars of the electric bill. They've robocalled here almost daily for the past month. All the alleged surveillance the government does and they can't catch con artists or telephone stalkers? It's just a matter of will.
- Jane replies to Jaron| 1 replySperian is calling folks in Cincinnati. They double-talk to make it sound like they are the same as Duke Energy. They want you to give them your personal information off of your bill. If they were Duke, they would already have the information! They seem to be calling folks based on some list of addresses and phone numbers.
I told them that since they were Duke, I would call Duke myself tomorrow to get the information about Sperian and any other discounts. - Amy Bailey - Sperian Energy replies to JaneDear Jane,

Compliance Manager - PHILDOE| 2 repliesHey old people, your state is deregulated, take advantage of cheap electricity..Many other states pay three times of what you pay so be grateful your getting these calls.
- Willow replies to PHILDOEOh yes...because everyone enjoys nuisance calls *rolls eyes*
- Tamianth replies to PHILDOEWho said these are old people besides you? I don't see any ages listed. Personally I won't, don't and wouldn't do business with any place that calls repeatedly and won't follow the DNC list, has smart alec little shills posting on a public board and/or spams on a public board.
Back under the bridge troll --> your brooms missing you! - MaryThey kept calling so I finally decided to listen and go over my bill the supplier at the time quoted me 8.7 for my kilowatt hour we did the math found out I was paying 0.20 AND on a variable rate and that was why my bill kept shooting sky high. I decided to give them a try not only did it cut my bill in half but my company is doing better and saving a ton and my bill never increased only because i used more electricity in the summer and winter but Its always that one call that can make a difference.

- Betty JohnsonI posted a comment on here and ten minutes later GOT ANOTHER CALL from this scammer- This time they said it was a 'collect call'- from Sperian. My husband just hung up. Be aware that when they ask you for your DUKE ENERGY ACCOUNT NUMBER- they can use that number to get a LOT of information- including your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER- which Duke Energy has on file, in your account. Hackers can do a LOT of damage with you Duke account number. BEWARE.

- Leah replies to Jaron| 1 replyI've gotten the same call repeatedly. They called from duke energy and I don't even have a gas company! They asked me if I had any gas acct, I said 'no' then said they were calling from my company electric company! This is aTOTAL scam. I'm reporting them and I hope everyone else does the same.
- Anonymous replies to LeahI have just experienced the same calls today. They called my Google # which is even more suspicious because Duke doesn't even have that info. This person also requested my account info. I told them I didn't have it and requested he look it up in dukes data base. He claimed to call back later when I have my info ready. They called from a 513 449 9878 number.
