Who are you?

I received a call from the the same number and their is no voicemail for me too leave a message when I returned the call.
Also, they did not leave a message when I did not answer the call

The same thing happened to me just as it did Anthony

I got a call from this number at 6:30 last night.  No voicemail.  Annoying.

Just called me and no msg.
My cell phone area code is 224.
I always wonder what others area
codes are when I see other posts
so I am going to add it from now on.
I think sometimes
we may see a trend.

Ok I have visited this site everytime I get a strange call.  Be it on my cell, which is not that often, but mostly my house 'land line'.  Which kind of makes a little more sense, because my mom is elderly and not well with Alzheimets.  I would not put it past some of these a
S*#m bags to use the age to their advantage. On this day and age even some basic med info can be gained by maybe a credit card use for medical equipment or supplies.
That being said, I just got a call from this # 513-417-0498 also.  I finally started posting now because this one of the few times I recall it registering and showing as a cell number.  I didn't call back as sometimes I have learned, its like clicking a hyper-link on an.e-mail.  You should copy it and paste it self into a knee page on your browser.  The same with some of these calls I heard, they get more info form calling them back.
As with everyone else, there was no message left, just a hangup when the machine kicked on.  I too have repeatedly joined and updated on the no call list .  This number is in my moms name still and has been the same number for over 50 years.
I am in NEW YORK, just outside of Manhattan on Long Island.  I am in the 516 area code for both the #'s,  as an FYI as someone mentioned.
I wish to apologize for the length of this entry, but its my first post and not only an addition to this thread, bit kind of an introduction.  I have read,enjoyed, and learned from this site so much, I decided to sedition I could join in and hopefully help others.

I'm in Chicago.  Received call at 10:39 CST - no voicemail as below.

I am on the East End of LI in the 631 zip code. Got the same call from the same number, no message

Recieved a call from the above listed phone number.  I chose to investigate it further as my phone number is listed on the national DO NOT CALL LIST.  I was connected with a telemarketer who proceeded to ask me for personal credit card information.  He claimed to work for Visa and Mastercard and became angry when I asked him if he should alreday know that information.  He cursed me out when I asked a few questions as to how they obtained my information.  This person was very unprofessional and proceeded to use extrememly foul language towards me and my husband.  He threatened to call me back every day since I was not buying into his product.  The call ended only after I hung up on my end.

Same for me.   I'm registered on the do not call and just got a call from 513-417-0498.   I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

just got the same call 5 minutes ago. No message or nothing.

Got a recording that I could lower my interest rates on my credit cards, and to press 1 to speak with a live operator.

Just got this call on my cell, didn't answer and they left no message!!

Just got a call, no VM. Annoying on my cell phone.  I also am on the DNC list.  So much for that.

Got a call from this number at 10:23 am today (August 16, 2011).  They hung up on me when I probed.

These people will not stop calling me.  I have told them several times that I am on the do not call list and they just don't care.  What can be done to get these people off of my back?

just called my cell phone. no clue who this is. googled the number and found this site so apparently I'm not the only one. when I answered someone did not immediately speak, so I hung up.

These calls always seem to surface when I post something on Craig's List.

If they do not leave a message you can bet it is a scam.

I called back from a different number and found their vm message is full.

Needless to say it is a scam.
