The call comes in but no one says anything nor clicks over like a telemarketer.

got  a call from 513-451-2518 never seen this number before and they wont leave a message anyone have a idea who it is

Keep getting this call and there is no one there. Clicks like it's a telemarketer. No message is left. Any idea where is't from?

Do these folks have our numbers on a barrel dial system or what? Anyone have any idea how to make them stop calling? I'm sick of interuptions, If they can't leave a message stating their business it's not a valid call anyway...........

NN Central Ohio is the Newspaper Network of Central Ohio.

No message, no message whether I answer or the machine picks up. I know that our local newspaper is a member of this Newspaper Network of Central Ohio

am getting calls from this number everyday!!! it is tying up my fax machine and driving me crazy!!  I call back and message says NN of central ohio sales and retention dept. I have left messages everyday for them to stop calling but calls continue.

They want you to start delivery.... no thanks i have internet

Every day between 5:00pm and 6:00pm since I subscribed to the Columbus Dispatch for delivery, I get calls from (513) 451-2518 on my unlisted cell phone.  I now know they are coming from Newspaper Network of Central Ohio.  I have a 614 prefix and these calls come from a 513 prefix.  If you are interested in writing these jerks, the address is as follows:

If you call their number back, you just get a mailbox is full recording, so don't waste your time.  I intend to write them (as well as the Columbus Dispatch who illegally gave my phone number out) and demand they obey the law as I am listed on the federal DNC (Do Not Call) list which prohibits telemarketers from calling anyone on that list.  If they persist, the next step is to file a complaint with both the FCC and FTC.  That should stop the phone calls.  If you are not registered, be proactive 'now' and use the following link(s) to do so:

As a postscript to my earlier posting.... here's a little trick I use against unwanted computer dialers, whether you hear a click or not.  The silence before a real person speaks is a dead giveaway you've been computer-dialed.

When you see the unwanted number on your caller id (or Toll Free Call)... do this:

1. Answer the call
2. Immediately press the # key seven to nine times very quickly
3. Hang up the phone

It drives the computer crazy and it thinks that the number is invalid and auto-deletes your number from its list.

This works on most computer dialers and especially the random-number dialers such as have been getting a lot of use by the political pollsters lately.  God, I hate telemarketers and election pollsters too!

I have been receiving this number as well on my caller ID.  It is 513-451-2518.  I too have recently subscribed to the Columbus Dispatch.  I was unhappy with the service so I stopped it.  The Dispatch has called to see why, but I have missed the call.  I will definatly let them know how I feel about this when I talk to them.  Thanks for the info!
