Since they piss us off and they take part of our lives from us: aprrox. 13 months durring a life span. I think it is appropriate for each of us to fight back in an effort to stop the continual assault on our lives, short as it is.

Here is what you do; when you answer the phone and they ask for you or your wife, husband, or your sig. other, you say, " Yes, she or he's is right here, can I tell them who's calling?" Set the phone down and carry on with what you were doing. After each minute pick up the phone and say something that will keep them on the phone for another minute, like, "he is just putting his pants on he will be right here, can you wait a few more seconds?" Or, "she's just getting out of the shower she'll be right with you". The strategy here is to burn their money up by increasing their operating expenses,such as their telecom/telephony charges or communication charges one minute at a time. You see, it may sound crazy, but if everyone extends these marketing calls to three minutes, the average telemarketing company would be out of business in 37 days. Not bad considering we hear from the same jerks for years at a time, until they break the legal perameters and are shut down by the law. But the judicial system is too expensive and takes an exorbitant amount of time, in a feeble attempt, and who pays for the district attorney and court costs ect.?...we do!!

So, for the battle against Timeburners or whomever may be calling your phone and demanding time, life and money from you, outsmart them and burn their money..one minute at a time.

As Kennedy stated, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country", or something to that effect.

I think a group such as Battlers Against Timeburners (BAT) should form sooner than later. Hope this didn't burn too much of your time.
