Got a call early this morning from 513-605-7447 (Caller ID = CINCINNATI OH).  A human left a message: "This message is for <she gave my name>.  Please call 800-347-8209, ask for Ms. xxx, ref number nnnnn.  Please call."  Based on previous posts, and the fact that they wouldn't identify themselves or their business, I didn't call either number.  I've also added an equivalent post to the blog for 800-347-8209.

received call and text from this number today. no message, and only a callback for the text.

This is a collections agency.  They contacted me about a friend I had 10 years ago that "put me down as a reference/contact".  My problem was that they were calling my cell phone, which I didn't have when I new him.  It took speaking to a manager to have my number taken off the account, but was possible...or so I thought.  I just received another call from them.  This time they couldn't find any record of me, until I told them who I had been contacted about in the past.  Then, they found my name on that account with a notation not to call me anymore.  She apologized.  I asked about just having my information deleted so there would be no future mistakes.  I guess we'll see.

this is crazy.I got a message on my home answering machine from Tammy at 513 605 7447. She wanted me to call her back regarding questions about my neighbor Mr Jones. [***]. The calls arent really for me, since I have exellent credit, but my boyfriends family member used our phone number as a referance once, and we just keep going on a list that gets passed on to others,I guess.

Get their address and send them a letter demanding they cease and desist calling you.  If they won't give it to you, do your best to track down the address online.  Be sure to send the letter with a return receipt so you have proof they got it.

I have had a few calls from this number and they won't talk to you about the matter, all i know i was a reference for my ex wife. I told them to take me off there call list but we see.

got a call from this number 8 o'clock in the morning . I used a google number to call them back . they answered using some initials like g  r c . I asked if they were a collection agency ? they wouldn't answer they kept asking me what my reference number was and I didn't answer I just kept asking them if they were a collection agency ? stalemate to them ... most likely a collection agency .

General Revenue Corporation??  Debt collectors about student loans i think.

They left me a message saying that I was listed as a reference for someone (a real friend's name).  But they left no identifying information for themselves and just a reference number.  Maybe they got that name from my facebook page, who knows?  But the friend says it's not legit.  I am not calling them back...

This was a collections agency calling for someone who definitely doesn't live inside my cell phone (which the company has called 3 times. The caller said the company is called General Revenue Corporation and the caller's name was Amanda Frank. I have asked that my name be removed, which I didn't do the first time I spoke with them (I missed the initial call).

I finally picked up this call and they were asking for a Pedro. I said I do not know a person by that name and I would like you take my cell phone number off your list. Very rudely the lady said, you should have picked up your phone on the several times I called you. Once she stated that I hung up on her. How dare you accuse me of picking up a unknown number. Never once did they leave a message when they called.

Just recieved a call from them. Someone by the name of Taylor left an 800 number for me to call back. This is so they can track the call (you cannot block a 800 number). Use Skype or Magic Jack to call back.

This is a collection agency.

I have been getting calls for 10 years regarding the same person and they have never lived here and I do not know them. My house was brand new when I moved here, no one had lived here before me. I am tired of getting calls regarding this woman. I am going to start a file under this womans name and evertime I get a call for her from a collection company that I have already informed not to call, a notation of it will be made in the file. I will collect this information for about 5 more years and the I will sue them all.

1-513-605-7447   This number is for Geneal Recovery Corporation.  They are a deb collection company and have been calling my company to verify employment but will not comply with our policy to put their request in writing due to scamming and privacy policies.  They call and I tell them the same thing and they call back numerious times a day and ask the same question, and I tell them our policy and they don't like it.  This issue they are calling about has nothing to do with me and they are harrassing my company as well by the way they conduct business.  It unprofessional, and someone needs to do something about it.

I got a call yesterday from this number and it was identified as "Sallie Mae," so I presume it would have something to do with student loans.
